"I chose Walmer High School because first of all I am a former Walmer Highschool learner. I had worked in the library for about five years and my heart is there. Writing Our own Future is our first ever book writing project, which is a collective anthology of poetry, life writing and different forms fo writing by kids of Walmer township who are part of Masifunde. This is something that is life changing for them. What we need now to get to our vision is our book to be distributed out to the greater community not only just Walmer. Teaching kids in creches in the townships about how to grow their own food in the limited spaces they are based in Sebokeng, Vaal." - Maureen Molopo
