Why would someone, who has documentation that can get past an airport visa check desk, then destroy those documents? Surely they would want to keep those documents to ensure they can stay in that country? Or is the thinking that destroying them means they can claim they are an asylum seeker without a flight/visa papertrail to prove otherwise? Seems like a loophole in airport operations that should have been sewn up a long time ago :/

When in my young days I grew my vegetables as my parents did before me, they look at you when you inquire have you Irish products in your own country. One supermarket worker replyed we are an English company why would they have Irish products. The reason why the Irish people first joined the EEC at the beginning was to trade, so each of the few countries at the start could trade with each other. Now that's knocked on the head, every factory, business and beautiful shops have disappear and now our food, we dont know what we are eating or where it is coming from. They call this progress

Absolutely spot on. There is practically no joined up thinking here. When we say it as it is - the headcases in Government here and Civil service are incapable of running the economics. Filling up hotels with immigrants ain't going to help support the tourism industry? So Immigration big issue. Investor led housing development for build to rent only ain't going to solve the affordability issue and high cost of housing to rent or buy? I hate to say it but We are a laughing stock with a load of loonies running the country.

So much more 2 billion setting up irish water than scrapping it 300 million for the metro 3 billion for broadband and gave it away for free intel and facebook built bigger projects than the hospital much bigger and we're on time and built for the projects cost price

@_alienblood the reason irish water was scrapped is because the meters are too expensive and have to be replaced every couple of years. I can't remember exactly what the problem is but it's something to do with them having to be reconfigured and this costs more than it costs to replace it. Typical irish infrastructure planning 😂😂😂

His figures on the Children’s Hospital are miles off. The new hospital is 160,000 sq m, roughly ten times 125,000 sq ft, simply not comparable and massively misleading.

Sorry - 160k sq m is 15 times as big as 125k sq ft
