Michael O'Leiry is undervalued in Ireland; the Government should listen to him. he has sound common sence and tells it in a clear way that anybody can understand, Perhaps he might consent to a couple of hours a month as advisor to our govmt he could not be a politician it would drive him crazy, He is a man of action, a man of his word and a man of the people. I do admire what he is and what he has done for tourism in our country.

He gave a million to GAA for each county. I didn't see the government doing that. One of the best comments I have heard Michael O’Leary give was in response to an invitation to the President’s house in the park for a 2 day conference on job creation at the time of the financial crisis. O’Leary turned down the invitation to attend, saying he would go if the conference started at 7am and finished at 9am 😂

Absolutely spot on. There is practically no joined up thinking here. When we say it as it is - the headcases in Government here and Civil service are incapable of running the economics. Filling up hotels with immigrants ain't going to help support the tourism industry? So Immigration big issue. I have great respect for Mr Oleary. He has built an airline runs it efficiently and and offers low fares so us the public can go places. Without his airline we wouldn't be able to visit our granddaughter and without his airline our daughter would not have met her now Italian husband. I feel her quality of life is far superior now to what it would have been in UK . Thanks Mr Oleary you didn,t know you were in the matchmaking industry as well. I abide by Ryan Airs rules and never had any trouble its people who try to test the boundaries that make all the fuss.

why do we have to increase Traffic into Dublin...9 out of 10 flights coming into Ireland ,fly into Dublin. Yet we have 2 large Regional airports in Cork and Shannon that are underused comparable to Dublin. Why not increase the flights and Destinations into these spaces Michael. Im from Kilkenny , im quite happy to go to Shannon or Cork to fly. I certainly wont have to spend an arm and a leg to park my car.

People talk about noise but little is done about barking dogs and nuisance alarms in housing estates all around Dublin. Only ONE dog warden in South County Dublin...for a population of 300,000. So the impact of aviation noise is to be put into context with the nonsense put up with other sources of noise such as motorbikes at 3 am in the morning or bin lorries at 7am......which does not seem to bother people as much as the demon of Irish people...Mick O'Leary and Ryanair.

Well said, I find it very hard for years to get our beautiful home grown or made food It goes against everything i had in the passed. When in my young days I grew my vegetables as my parents did before me, they look at you when you inquire have you Irish products in your own country. One supermarket worker replyed we are an English company why would they have Irish products. The reason why the Irish people first joined the EEC at the beginning was to trade, so each of the few countries at the start could trade with each other. Now that's knocked on the head, every factory, business and beautiful shops have disappear and now our food, we dont know what we are eating or where it is coming from. They call this progress

Why would someone, who has documentation that can get past an airport visa check desk, then destroy those documents? Surely they would want to keep those documents to ensure they can stay in that country? Or is the thinking that destroying them means they can claim they are an asylum seeker without a flight/visa papertrail to prove otherwise? Seems like a loophole in airport operations that should have been sewn up a long time ago :/
