Y’all, I’m torn. I have a GMG trek 1.0. The grease pipe has a hole in it somewhere. It pours grease into the cook chamber. I’m honestly shocked I didn’t just set a dozen pounds of chicken ablaze. This isn’t a new problem either, I found videos of Davy Crocketts also having this issue. It doesn’t look like they beefed up the pipe in this model. I’m not sure I can stomach an increased price when the one I had would be working just fine if it wasn’t for a pinhole leak somewhere in that tiny drain pipe 😩. Like, it was a great little cooker. So many good memories. And now I gotta either weld a new drain pipe or find a replacement cook chamber. I have no idea.

Love my Trek. Hate, hate, hate the cheap thin drip pan. They always warp on me. My Recteq RT-700 pan is thick and sturdy and has never warped in years of use. Any 3rd party recommendations for a better pan?

Take your drip tray to a local welder or sheet metal shop. They should be able to make you one pretty easily. I’m not aware of any third party manufacturers.

BULLSHIT! I pay $ 500.00 for the 12 volt trek 2.0 and have to go out and buy my own 12 volt converter cord! BS!
