I don't care much for celebrities, but Jason David Frank I always respected. Back when the show first started I only saw the first two seasons and Tommy was my favorite. In fact it's been 30 years and Tommy was the only Ranger I remembered by name. This is shocking news since he always kept himself in good shape, and while I am a 6 years younger than him. I do not look like I did in High School and College. So his commitment to health is admirable and inspiring. Anyway may he Rest in Peace, and may he now be in Heaven in God's presence.

@@claytonthomas1980 Sadly, the mental health services often prescribe antidepressant medication that can actually cause suicidal ideation but it's not exposed enough. I don't know if that happened to him, I'm just saying, people should not look for a quick fix in psychiatric meds instead chose therapy.

This is so sad. When I used to get upset or depressed, I would always think of Tommy Oliver holding his helmet up high then bringing it down and snapping it on saying " Back into action!" I always took this as a sign that rangers do not quit. They take stock, and carry on. We will miss you Jason.

He truly loved his fans and will be greatly missed. AAAGGHH What a f'kin BLOW!! It's like one of the villains figured out a way to kill my childhood, one icon at a time whilst I can do nothing but watch. RIP to a truly good guy from all accounts I've heard. I'm truly heartbroken for him and his family especially the way he went out. I never would've figured he was struggling so bad with mental health. My uncle committed suicide and I'm trying to stop a second from just doing it real slow by giving up on life not taking care of himself. It really hurts, especially when you think maybe you could've helped but sometimes the warning signs come too late or you don't process it as a warning sign till you see it in hindsight later. RIP to a true legend and icon. More than anything, know you were loved and you WILL be missed, forever, Jason. Eternally and forever. At least for me, it's a hole in the soul that can never be filled because to my kid self, you were everything, man! The epitome of cool and virtue. You were, many times, the star I aspired to reach for, the ideal in my head as I formulated my ideas about masculinity. So thank you, Jason David Frank! Growing up I looked up to Jason David Frank. I loved him not only as a power ranger but I also loved his character. Strong, brave, loyal, kind, and a great leader. I appreciated everything he did not just as a power ranger but what he did as Tommy Oliver the person. I think that I learned many things from him just by watching his shows.
