Top picks Kris, going to have to revisit a few of those, particularly ToN as I've not heard that in a long while. MBD's a worthy top spot and my favourite among their many great albums. Only other two which would potentially be pushing my top 6 would be Dance of December Souls and With Fear I Kiss the Burning Darkness.

Nice one Kris, very good of you to do a formal apology to Yoga Rogervik 😂😂 Great picks for 1993, especially Carcass, Morbid Angel and Dissection. Those would make my top 6 I think, though there isn't much that came out that year I've listened to honestly. The Death and Entombed albums are cool, I have heard those Immortal and Darkthrone albums but not many times. I haven't heard the Anthrax album but it's on the list. I have heard bits of that Paradise Lost album and kinda dug it! I do like Chaos AD but I fully understand why you put it as your glaring omission. One album I would have added here is I hear black by Overkill, underrated album I think 😁🤘🏻

Saw them on that tour desultory supported st the old marquee. Heartwork best album by carcass for me easily! Team Pile of Shit here 😂. Tbh every time I tried to listen to it I threw the towel in before ever hearing anything remotely death metal on it. Morbid Angel is good I had it on the other day. Not a top 6 for me tho. Love the punky vibe on world of shit. What your saying about tailing off on side be has been something I've thought was evident on all the Morbid Angel early stuff. After that I'm not as familiar. I bought Heartwork on day one and gave it away later that day 😂. A few other I don't know like Decomposed, My Dying Bride,
