I have a kind suggestion to sister that addressing a conference where we have male participants is also inappropriate. Extravaganza is disapproved in Islam but the definition of profligacy varies from place to place. E.g.,in California driving Mercedes is not a profligacy because it is extremely prosperous state, on the other hand side ,in Asia it would be a profligacy. I hope those who deliver sugarcoated speeches should brush up realities.

I don't wanna throw person info out there but I still remember she wore the smallest biki whole she was with her baby boy.. she was hooking up in front of her baby boy..she doesn't talk about Islam anymore.. she is divorce and now in a living relationship with a non mahram.. Now you tell me, will such a woman follow Islam । will her son be a Muslim? It is thanks to husband that her elder daughter is not with her...

Dear, With all due respect. Yes it is inappropriate for a girl to mingle with men and boys. You should have done research before embracing Islam. Islam makes it clear that believing men and women should not look each other. Since you are very attractive that is why they pulled you unfortunately in a brusque manner. You would take longer time to understand Islam.

Stargazer:What do you mean by shit? Can't you use milder words. Anyways, it is your choice. Quran is strict on certain issues which should be adhered to. Free mixing up between men and women are strictly proscribed...in western set-up it is quiet a herculean task to imbibe Islamic code of conduct but I hope we should follow Islam stringently. Myriam is a very sincere girl and should understand these Islamic etiquettes and values.

One thing is quiet interesting about her.She maintain very low profile status of her husband and herself remain in the limelight.Her husband is hardly seen in any fundraising or Islamic conferences.Islam is religion of modesty which Myriam should interpret properly.There is no Hadith where women were travelling and Husbands were at home taking care of Kids.This is sheer hypocrisy.

She is better qualified than any men. if you think u r more qualified than her..show it...FRom your comment i can see that you are jealous. Islam does not prohibit women from teaching and travelling, Muslim women are allowed to travel freely. And it is Myriam and her husband's personal matter that her husband take care of kids, you are no one to decide. Honestly, I guess Islam is getting destroyed for having narrow minded and ignorant Muslims like you...

She's not the one in the limelight... it's her thoughts and reflections. Her private life concerns no one else but herself. Women have been teaching from the earliest islamic years, a great example would be Aisha, the Prophet's wife. If it had posed a problem to him, we wouldn't possess half of our deen. Too bad you missed the point.
