บ้านบุณยมานนท์ โครงการที่ออกแบบมาสำหรับครอบครัวขยาย ประกอบด้วยบ้าน 2 หลัง ตั้งอยู่คนละฝั่งกัน เชื่อมด้วยสนามหญ้าขนาดใหญ่ ห้องออกกำลังกาย และสระว่ายน้ำตรงกลาง บ้านบุณยมานนท์ตั้งอยู่ในละแวกที่อยู่อาศัยที่ไม่หนาแน่น มีระยะห่างระหว่างอาคารบ้านเรือนค่อนข้างมาก และยังมีหลายพื้นที่ที่เป็นที่ดินเปล่าในละแวกนั้น จากการจำลองการไหลเวียนของทิศทางลม พบว่า ลมบางส่วนจะยังสามารถพัดเข้ามายังตัวบ้านได้ แม้จะมีโครงการสิ่งปลูกสร้างในอนาคตในละแวกใกล้เคียง ซึ่งลมดังกล่าวพัดมาได้ดีจากทิศใต้และทิศตะวันออกเฉียงใต้ บ้านหลังที่ตั้งอยู่ฝั่งที่ลมพัดเข้ามาถูกจัดวางให้หันไปทางทิศตะวันตก เพื่อเปิดทางให้ลมพัดผ่านไปถึงบ้านหลังที่ตั้งอยู่อีกฝั่งได้ พื้นที่นั่งเล่นของบ้านทั้ง 2 หลังวางตัวขนานไปทางทิศเหนือ-ใต้ เพื่อไม่ให้ความร้อนจากแสงแดดส่องเข้าสู่ตัวบ้านโดยตรง และแบ่งแยกกันโดยให้มีพื้นที่ว่างระหว่างบ้านทั้ง 2 หลังเพียงพอสำหรับการระบายอากาศ และความเป็นส่วนตัวของผู้อยู่อาศัย ตำแหน่งการจัดวางของบ้านทั้ง 2 หลังสามารถเป็นที่กำบังแดดให้กับสนามหญ้ากลางบ้านได้โดยปริยาย และส่วนหลังคาที่ยื่นออกมาก็ช่วยให้ร่มเงากับบ้าน ท่ามกลางอากาศร้อนได้ตลอดปี
Boonyamanond project is designed for an extended family, consisting of two houses connected by a large courtyard, with shared exercise room and pool area. The project is located in a low-density neighborhood and ventilation simulations have shown that, with potential future development on neighboring sites, some winds can still get into the house from the south and southeast. The house on the windward side is shifted westward to provide a wind path to reach another house as well. The living area of both houses are oriented north-south to minimize solar heat and separated with enough in-between space for ventilation and privacy of the residents. The house massing has been designed to implicitly block strong sunlight beaming into the courtyard. Long overhangs help to provide extra shades to ensure year-round tropical comfort.
