As soon as he figures out where to throw it he's going to dominate. He's 18, he's got time. I like how he was willing to go up and inside after giving up that home run, even if it resulted in a hit batsmen. His key mistake was throwing the fastball low and in to a lefthanded hitter with an uppercut swing, never ever do that.

Simeon Teitelbaum Coaches would always tell me the same thing.. hard and in on righties, soft and away for lefties. Obviously that’s just a guideline but for most power hitters it seems to be true

Owen Schilling Lefty hitters have a hard time swinging on balls away usually, might be because the ball is failing away from a righty maybe.

Everyone talking about “he has no command” he is a kid. And also. If you have a plus arm and plus stuff with average command, you can pitch in the big leagues. Look at hader for the brewers. Below average command with above average stuff.

In 2018 100+ is still very special, but not it’s not as effective as it was 40-50 years ago. Now if hicks or Chapman come in the pitch, guys are in the cages Taking 100mph bp in the dugout(it’s not actually the dugout, but you know what I mean.) during the half inning. Plus more guys throw harder these days. What I’m saying is I think this guy is overrated, no doubt raw talent, but I think that just throwing the ball hard isn’t enough.
