It was fascinating to hear the 2000 years of history at Greenfield Valley Heritage Park. This was such an interesting historical journey with a healing well and monastery and agricultural work and a flour mill and other industrial factories. Anna, I just noticed the number of views and comments. My mind went blank🤣. Well done! My day can be completely wrecked but just listening to your videos makes me smile😁. I'm off to the book stop to check out some books. I'll be reading at home and watching the snow fall. Hope everyone is healthy, warm and happy🤗💞🐲

Aww thanks so much for your lovely comments and yes it's been happening on our videos for quite a while now. I'm glad people enjoy them. And regarding the bookshop Phil all I would say is don't start reading the books while you are walking home because you might slip in the snow 🤭 Yes we are all healthy warm and happy thank you and hope you all are too. Just dont read too many books in one go 😄💖

Oh Anna, I have to say, you do find the most appropriate but also fun to watch wee add-ins! Whilst your history lessons are serious stuff, the humor sneaked in here and there adds to the enjoyment of the video. I've enjoyed walking, watching, listening to the very interesting story of the events here you tell it so well. The ruins are fabulous and are a national treasure telling the story of the past. My dad used to say, " Life is a large classroom. One learns something new at every turn. Some good, some bad, some worth remembering, some worth repeating some to dwell on, some things to treasure". I can truly say ( at my age 😂) that he was right. Thanks for teaching me more. 💖🙏🇳🇿🙋♀🇳🇱

Aww thanks so much Anita for your kind and lovely comnents and that's a great thing that your dad said and so true. This is such an amazing place especially with it all being connected to St Winefride's Well and the constant supply of water. Thanks for joining us here 💖

Awesome to see the ruins and learn about this area. Love the view from up the hill. It gives it nice perspective of the area and the buildings. Pretty funny with all the sightings of the back of you two. Haha. It was neat to see the old machinery parts scattered around. Really big wheels/pulleys. Thanks for the tour. Have a wonderful day and a Happy Holidays.

Haha hi Steve, we live in a small Welsh village and want to remain anonymous and only show the backs of ourselves every so often just so people like you know we are real and actually go to these places and not use other people's footage ! 😄 This was such a great place with all of the machinery there to look around and I thought you especially might enjoy seeing it because of your line of work. So interesting. Thanks for watching and both have a lovely Christmas :)

Wow Anna! 2000 years of history! I have trouble keeping the last 200 years of US history straight in my head! Would have never thought that cooper would have been so big in the Valley. Another interesting history lesion! Thanks!

So amazing to see history that goes back that many hundreds of years! We love learning about the past history of monasteries and abbeys. Its interesting to see how places that appear in ruin today were once thriving centers of trade.

One and a half miles long and 70 acres of woodland to explore! Wow! Lakes, museum and historic factories and 800 years of heritage to discover… all these you explained to us so well dear Anna! In the 8th century, the pilgrims would have found it so hard to travel to this well of Winifred. But they braved the hardships, hopefully blessed with healing as well. Looks like a cold day when you visited! Thank you dear ones for this excellent video ! Very informative! Have a very blessed week

Liked #164 👍 This proves that how clean water is so vital not just for drinking or feeding the plants but it helps with agriculture and the industrial revolution as well. It even draws in Medieval legends 😊 The church and the castle were built in 1093! Looks like it is in a decent shape for almost 1,000 years old. Trying to absorb all the history lesson of this mill then all of a sudden a beaver doing his dance at 10:02, hard to take this seriously, haha 😄 Smart of the mills to switch what was demanded during a war which helps them survive the rough times! 😉

Haha 😄 hi Buster I love your comments but I do love my little helpers 🤭Yes all of the ruins there from St Winefride's Well up at the top, down to Basingwerk Abbey down at the bottom and the old factories in-between are really in quite good condition apart from nature doing what it does and taking over ! But such a fascinating place. Thanks so much for watching and making me laugh !

Loved your history packed tour of this wonderful "Heritage Park," Anna and Alf. You must do a tremendous amount of research! Enjoyed seeing and hearing about it. Child labor was also an issue here in the US. A reminder that all we build will be lost to time except in wonderful, preserved, protected areas such as these. Thanks so much for bringing us along!
