Hi Yesterday I was at the grocer and a very young female greenfinch flew in. the store owner was terrified so I asked him for a towel and caught it. But its in a way bigger cage than the one you have is that ok? Im from MALTA btw

Awww..... this bird either needs to be let go or get big cage so he can fly around. This is so sad! :( Hell you can make an aviary that's even bigger and there is so much space the bird can get his pent up energy out.

A BIRD BORN IN CAPTIVITY CAN NEVER LIVE IN THE WILD BESIDES THAT THIS CAGE IS USED TO TRAIN THE BIRD FOR SHOWS THIS IS THE ONLY WAY A BIRD CAN BE TAME AND WIN IN BIRD SHOWS i have been present to bird shows in the uk so please keep it in mind that this happens all around the world and there is nothing bad about it i invite you myself to come to my home and watch birds in my aviaries

Just because you CAN, doesn't mean you SHOULD. Think of the km of space he would fly in the wild, how cruel to keep it in such a tiny cage - and also, in the full sun with no recourse to shade. I raised two greenfinches as a child, one flew away after us teaching it what o eat, one stayed of her own volition in an always OPEN large cage.

for all those who are messaaging here without even knowing the reason of this bird in a cage this is a home breed bird and is born and rased in doors for so it can never live out dorrs plus that thiscage is used for training in shows and shows are done in every country around the world plus that for your own information a bird can live more than the double of its life span in captivity rather than in nature

In many places around the world been used cages like this size maybe the shape is different,averyone can confirm that by doing some search on a computer,is true that the cage is small I agree,but the cruelty is when a bird is catched from the wild not bred in captivity,when something is seen or happened in Malta is like happened something terrible an im very disappointed on this!..Im Maltese an animal lover and bird breeder!

you should inform yourself before maddoshit as this is a bird raised in captivity and so cannot live in the wild plus that this bird is being kept to the top of nutrients thing that cannot happen in nature and for your information a bird in captivity is able to live almost the double life span rather than the one in the wild
