It's more than just Hong. The two sisters need a male family leader for their house. Both their fate would be affected it's why the older sister is so wisely careful. I can sense that Hong has a fairly strong character though right now as in any new romantic relation characters are embellished. It takes 3 months for that sheen to drop and the wolf comes out.
