Hello Robert...You are so fortunate to have a Garden of Eden at practically your doorstep. Whatever and whenever, you feel like eating, it is always available, be it vegetables or chicken. I do tend to feel a little bit jealous of you (joking). And now you are planting bamboo shoots as well !!! I have to get my food from the supermarket, and it does not come free.....I hardly see bamboo shoots on the shelves and also they are quite expensive. Hi Robert! You are really a hard working person. All you have achieved is tremendous! But if you don't mind, can I request you to make improvements to your house...especially the cooking area. Also the pig sties can be better, especially the flooring and the pigs' feed troughs. Also, make a pond so that you can keep ducks...remove the rocks from your front yard too. P.S Aren't snakes a problem?

Hi Robert It's an excellent idea to cultivate this particular species of bamboo in your own garden, so you can harvest these luscious shoots without having to travel a long distance to find them. The shoots look so tender and scrumptious and I am sure they taste delicious. The dish of chunky shoot with added pork, together with the plain shredded version complement each other and make a completely well balanced meal. I am sure Mic approved!
