I managed to go from Savisivik back to Thule and then Quanauq back to Thule while I was in Greenland as well as a trip to the Holt Moltke glacier. Will always miss it.

Herwig, I am looking to schedule a sled dog tour of Greenland. How were you able to arrange this dog sled tour? Whom did you contact?

They aren’t dont worry! The Greenlanders love their dogs so much and look after them very well. The dogs are bred for thousands of years to pull sleds and they love doing it

the dogs look exhausted .. :( their paws look like theyr hurt from walking in the snow. what type of fur are they wearing ? doesnt look like dog's fur, if it's goat's fur and they have goats why dont they make them do the dogs' job ?
@strwbrrrryy10 жыл бұрын
The dogs aren't that exhausted, they absolutely love running. It's in their blood! These people have used these dogs for over 1000 years. Greenland dogs are one of the oldest dogs on earth. Make the goats do the dogs job? Goats?? :D goats are tiny, like sheep and such lol. They have reindeers etc but these dogs are made to do this. They are strong and can run over 45 miles a day

+Helmi Sigrid yes, these dogs are happily do these things. they weren't born to be pet all day long, they like it. :))

are you sure? are you an animal hater? they are also God's creation like us and treat them right
@kytiladdy8 жыл бұрын
But this is not hate as there are very communicative dogs who feel good if they're spending time with people and there are shepheard puppies, these dogs prefer running and being together. It's not the best for them if they spend time alone, only with people.

These dogs are working animals, it's forbidden to keep them as pets.
