Thanks for bringing the point home. In particular about IAF fighter & tech acquisition our defense decision makers customization, cutting edge features, tech transfer & mfg at home, but are shocked with the asking price. This cycle has been repeated many times in the last 10 yrs. We are a big economy now with vast interests to safeguard. We will have to get out of “can’t afford it” mentality at the cost of creating a gap in national security. This is different than cost effectiveness, but not everything can be achieved cheaply especially if our expectations from it are so high.
