What if we don't let our kids have a smart phone, thus no app useage? Can they still login online and check their account and access features that way?
@dsha200623 күн бұрын
What the deposit method limitations? I assume I can also just venmo or paypal money to my kid as well.

My experience also. I was looking for a simple debit card account for my teen, but the app and GL card management is doing waay too much.

Greenlight is a horrible waste of your family’s time and money. Card gets declined for no apparent reason randomly. They take your money and refuse to refund you. I agree with the previous comment it’s 🗑️

Oh man! Sorry to hear that! Any explanation for the card being declined. Thanks for sharing your experience.

@TheModestWallet3 ай бұрын
So are you saying GL was too complicated for what you needed the account for?
@reelgriot3 ай бұрын
@TheModestWallet Yes. But it also seemed fundamentally complicated for simple, ordinary banking.

What did you decide on? I'm curious.

My wife and I decided to cancel it and just go with an ordinary banking account/card.

Great question: No, Debit cards are not considered credit, so activity with them is not reported to credit bureaus and does not appear on credit reports.

I don’t like that my parents control my money and they can see where I’ve been buying things. And there’s a limit on this card too. You can’t spend over a certain amount. There’s like a $300 limit you can add to the card at once.

@@rudolphbillups3119your parents know what’s best for you, they are trying to teach you. Trust me man, I went through the same thing with my father. Once you start listening more taking things in and letting less out, while also talking with them about the things you don’t like. You’ll understand.
