Greenlight High Quality NEW TRUCK CASTINGS - Review

In this video, I review an assortment of Greenlight Series 1/64 scale diecast collectible cars and trucks, with several new castings, amazing paint jobs, and cool accessories. These are the last wave of releases for the 2023 California Lowriders series 3, ALL TERRAIN series 15, Blue Collar series 12, Hobby Shop series 15, two 1993 Ford Bronco's, one from an exclusive Hobby Collection, and a randomly placed 1986 Volvo 240 sedan from Matchbox, round out this diecast Haul!
Highlights of the Greenlight models for me are the 1963 Chevy Impala (looks like the one from Up In Smoke), the 1990 Chevrolet Suburban, 1993 Dodge Ram Power Ram 250, 1946 Dodge Power Wagon, 1998 Ford F150 XLT Lariat, and a pair of 1973 Cadillac Deville Sedans 2 door and 4 door.

Looks like Greenlight have really upped their game - almost as good as Autoworld Premium but at half the price!

Greenlight makes really nice castings but Autoworld has opening parts on every car (except the Deluxe series) and far too many new Greenlight castings do not. It's a big reason why I stopped collecting GL. Also, in my experience, Auto World and Greenlight sell for near identical prices at Target, Walmart, and Hobby Lobby.

I think greenlight models are incredible i just bought the blue collar 1975 Ford Ranger because i love the original look with canopy as a handyman vehicle for my diarama broncos,🐎are my favourite i also just bought greenlight Smokey the bear 🐻 Bronco cost me $36 for the pair love your videos 👍 cheers Stephen 🤠⭐🦅🐎

We had a ‘75 Ford single cab. Truck survived a deer hitting it across the front. New grill, bumper, hood and radiator and good to go.

Lovely setup. I never got into Greenlight. OJ edition of the Bronco! :) So much vintage JL, I put the brakes on Collecting several years ago when the realization came I'd have to off them for pennies on the dollar or simply get rid of them. Most don't want open examples, yet that's when the hobby was fun.

Thank you very much! I try not to concern myself with the value of the collection, but I can see why many would when collecting cars. Especially a lot of cars. The old motto, only collect what you enjoy, always rings true!

If your first thought collecting cars is "how am I going to sell all this" - then you shouldn't be collecting. I've been a collector all my life, but after losing all my cars in a yard sale in 2002 I became a collector again in 2012 and am still going with several thousand cars. I collect both loose and carded, brand new and very old, cheap chinese junk and high ends like schuco and siku, i pick up a bit of everything.

@@MrWolfSnack Not the point at all, never gave that a thought collecting as a child & always thought I'd have someone to pass them down to. I've already given away much of what I don't want often breaking up complete years or sets. At some point in your life you realize though, what is going to happen to all this. Nothing wrong with that. In the 90's collecting became a craze, before that many just considered them toys.

Well this is good to see that they have a better Quality Control with the wheels. That GMC Jimmy wasn't rolling too good. But the others were. I stopped buying GL due to this fact. If it doesn't roll right, it is sh*t. Big props for the roll test you perform. Thank you

I like all those trucks. I just DON'T like the painted lights, ugh. They need to have inserts in all the vehicles that Greenlight makes. I really want that O J Simpsons Bronco. I just got the new M2 Dodge truck six pack. Its a great set. I live 3hrs east of you in Trenton, Ontario

Greenlight has definitely not been a quality brand over the years. The older stuff was great but the stuff for the past almost 10 years has been horrible quality. They actually just got bought out last year and the new owner and team seem to be much more dedicated to quality, which gets me more excited to collect them!

Also with how fast Greenlight got the models whipped into shape leads to the question that if they could do it all along just that simply - why didn't they? Did they just not care? Was the machinery worn out and junky? Did the old CEO just want to milk as much money as possible from people while throwing the quality down the drain? I really do hope this is an American success story and the new CEO gets the company saved from the junkyard and put back on the right track to what they need to be.

Is it me or do the tires on these trucks seem too wide for scale? Johnny Lightning was notorious for off scale tires that were way too wide.

The tires are not always an accurate size or width, but there are many variations and customizing the wheels is very easy and cheap to do.
