I am bit confused about answer choice C. Can't it also serve as an evidence for the dangers of high level of salinity?

Answer choice C is very tempting, but it's really just telling us that other kinds of fish are also experiencing a decrease in egg production. It doesn't help to strengthen the conclusion about salinity causing reduced egg production in polafish. Here's an example: Today at noon, my wife ate a pickle. Ever since noon, my forehead has been itchy. So, I conclude that my wife's pickle consumption is causing my itchiness. If we add a new premise that says ""Ever since noon, my son's forehead has been itchy," it doesn't have any effect on whether the pickle-eating is to blame.

@@GreenlightTestPrep thanks for clarifying with the witty example ! I guess the phrase "in the same 10 mile stretch" in choice C makes it tempting. I get your logic though.
