The SSR struggles in close range engagements because of its low fire rate and two-shot to everywhere besides the head, whereas the PPS fires much faster while also keeping the same shots-to-kill. I'd say it's more like a hybrid between the MK11 and the Scar SSR than just a direct downgrade over anything in particular.

The new Bren series guns in PF are quite interesting, I myself was also suprised that the Bren 2 PPS doesn't have the Hungarian or Czech service scope as a free attachment. I've seen and held all of these Bren's in person before, so I really apreciate the detail put into the models. Interestingly enough I was expecting the 7.62x39 Bren 2 to also be added as a conversion or a seperate gun after seeing the Bren 2 in game, wich didn't happen, but might happen in the future.

Bren 3 is great. The recoil is kinda weird, but once you get used to it, it becomes a laser beam. Bren 2 is kinda disappointing though. But that's fine since it's a rank 0 gun, and even then it's not bad.

Bren 3 with the compebsator is a laser beam, also bren 2 pps (the dmr) with hollow poit is just insane with 2 hit limb up to like 120 studs and the 2 hit head all ranges.

ok i just commented making fun of the Brens, but i researched them and they're kinda growing on me. i always think it's cool to have full families of weapons spanning multiple categories (like the AUGs and SCARs), and im pretty happy with another, albeit obscure one. overall, i think this is the best update stylis has done lately, because at least there aren't any AKs.

I was there for the update. Bren 2 is straight up just a worse ak12 in every way other than pen (+0.2) and rpm (+150). Worse recoil, hip and ads, worse velocity, worse damage, and no special attachments. A conversion should’ve come as a part of the release, not as a patch for a worse version of the already fine starting weapon.

Bren 3 seems pretty average all around, except 300 blackout, which seems pretty good (ideal assault rifle damage, 3 shot up close, 5 shot at range, 800ish rpm), with the main flaw being that the recoil is bad, so you need attachments to make it actually strong

bro that gun is level 153 when i first saw it in the main game and i called it breh 3 (i didn’t saw the breh 2 in the main game) and that gun with 300BLK. is pretty much is m16a1 with m855 same damage same fire rate, lowwer velocity (i think) same pen, better (camera) recoil but at higher cost

Out of all guns, I would rather take the Rank 3 MK11 DMR over the new BREN PPS. They both have near identical damage and suprisingly the same multipliers. But the BREN DMR just feels heavier and the recoil feels more floaty when you equip a scope to it.

KD is subjective, KD doesn't matter if your not good and getting 100+ kill games. You could get 30 kd games but you only got 30 kills the whole match meaning you were camping

i have found a pretty low recoil setup mp5k blue laser (other blue laser) pbs-1 suppresor (choice of sight) stubby grip. its overall a good setup not specificcally a no recoil setup and the mp5k stock
