@WPJohnny , Thank you, Johnny, for this great video! I found out why the speed of different parts of their site was different (I created a special topic in their FB group). It turns out that they have introduced a new product - GS on top of their classic theme - ReHub (any WP Theme detector shows it) . After I showed them your video with time-stamps, they recognized the problem and made corrections (perhaps not everywhere). But now those problematic parts are "flying" at a good speed. Thanks to you (and their answers) I was able to 1) to see the problem, 2) show it to the devs, 3) get satisfied answers. Thank you, it was very important to me.

About speed. If you check details from google, you will see that problem are from woocommerce and Wordpress assets and not related to plugin. But, ok, we replaced classic theme to Greenshift block theme and it gives immediately +20-30 points. Checked some posts from video and it shows me 99-100 scores

Does Greenshift have functionality of dynamic content?

hi, is Greenshift lightweight or heavy?

@WPJohnny , You have a gift (or a skill) to explain things very clearly. May I ask you to record a video on how to use FSE with the Greenshift Theme? This is an absolutely incomprehensible and confusing skill for beginners. You will receive thanks from hundreds or even thousands of newbies. The Greenship theme and plugin is gaining popularity, but no one knows how to use FSE with GS. (OR you can use some other Theme with the simmilar structure. They say not every Block Themes behaves the same way with FSE)

I haven't used WordPress in 10 years, so I have a different perspective. I really want something I can insert js functionality into; plus, I usually use Figma to design things first, so I don't mind a minimal design library. You have done Greenshift, Cicwly, and Breakdance; which one do you like better. Also, you didn't show the page speed scores with the other builders, how did those fair? Thanks in advance.
@WPJohnny Жыл бұрын
Definitely Greenshift sits at the bottom for because 1) I don't need their animation feature, 2) Their overall UI and design library falls behind everybody else. Breakdance fits certain scenarios better. Cwicly fits certain scenarios better. They're not even comparisons. I don't compare Greenshift page speed scores with other builders because 1) other builders can't do what Greenshift does with the whole animation thing, and 2) Greenshift was the one advertising high page speed scores...so I'm really just reviewing whether they can deliver on their promises, which I felt they didn't.

Unfortunately, a very poor review. Normally I find your reviews quite good, but except for the minimalist design libary, I can't understand the review in any way. The speed test is a bad joke. - If you had taken 2 minutes to look at the themes they also offer in the (bad) design libary, you would have noticed that they are all, fast as hell. On a blank page with just a headline, i get a 73 Speedcore on Pindom vs. a 160 for Breakdance. I don't even want to start with the fact that such a design with the breakdance you mentioned is not possible without custom code. (Should actually be the other way round.) - You really can't speak of slow. Even if you look around a bit in the community, you can quickly see which page builders people are switching from to Greenshift, precisely because of the speed. Comparing pagebuilders like Breakdance with Gutenberg is an apple / pear comparison, that should be clear to everyone. The review did not even show 10% of what is possible with greenshift and how it works. For example how many gutenberg plugin do you know, that have a grid option? (Maybe 3 out of 30 ? - Greenshift is one of them.) Also comparing it with Cicwly. - When i want class based builder i use Bricksbuilder or Oxygen. Cicwly is rather diffiuclt, time consuming and also force you to use their theme, if i am not wrong. Cicwly is also WAY slower, not even a comparison. Greenshift is in a whole different league. Comparisons would be possible here with Generateblocks or ThePlusblocks, both of which are also very powerful block builders, that are very fast. That there are no tutorials is also not true. There are plenty of good tutorials on their youtube channel and homepage, how to use Greenshift. For example i searched today, how i can use their carousel option to make a logo slider. No problem to find. Try to find this on Bricksbuilder homepage. To be honest i don´t get even what you talking about 13 minutes. You keep saying it feels fast, loads fast in the backend too, but somehow it's not fast without showing any tests, because you found 1 block inside the libary that was bad optimized in your eye? Thats your review, really? The funny thing is, i took the same block today und used it for test purpose with other blocks, and got instant a 100/100 on Pagespeed Insight, weird. I can only recommend everyone to do their own tests and compare Greenshift with other Gutenberg and non-Gutenberg page builders. You'll quickly find that it's hard to find other page builders that are significantly faster.

I'm gonna assume this is the Greenshift owner or somebody very close to him, as he's been complaining nonstop about what my video shows for all to see. I personally don't even care about pagescores...but my users do. I found not just one, but several of your demos that didn't score well. And no, I'm not going to waste precious video time featuring undelivered marketing claims. For your sake, I wish you'd stop focusing on the bad. Your plugin has some cool features...so keep the focus there. Arguing with A VIDEO SHOWING PROOF is not going to help your cause. It's also not going to make you look professional in the eyes of prospective customers. I understand you're not happy with how your product was displayed. And I'm sorry but that was my honest firsthand experience. I never even knew of you guys. Some of my readers begged me for months to review you and I did. I listed all PROS I could find, and likewise all faults I could find. Now please go focus on your plugin instead of past misses.

@@WPJohnny An honest review (maybe not perfect) is the key, the main thing of the video! (for me). It wasn't a paid review, that's for sure. And thanks to you, Johnny, I started digging and asking (I wrote about it in other comment) and got the answers I needed. Thanks! :)

Completely disagree. Lazy developers want wireframes and templates. The page scores in Yellow Labs are much better on current versions but I feel like I need to defend these guys. This is an extensive toolset for the dollar amount. Even the free version "core blocks" which you did not show what was "free" is better than anything else out there.

Completely agreed. I think @wpjohnny should do a new review... have tested myself lately vs other block builders. Bricks does not come close... loads 30% more code. Elementor 2 to three times more. without caching, I get 99 mobile scores with a big page on pagespeed.
