Technically, they don't really need to be expressive with each other. This is because Evy's more trying to show off for the purpose of entertaining Bub. This is evident in his entrance animation and his normal idle animation; his entrance animation has him noticing is friend there, while his normal idle animation is a beckon to his partner (either Bub or the Time Eater), as if telling him he's going to do a magic trick.

Yeah, the bgm is in the rom. It's just that this build of MAME can't emulate it.
