Rain and sunshine in the length of a train. That's Victorian spring weather. Good work as usual.

We could call the video 'Ne'er the Tw(r)ain shall meet!'. Beautiful shot at Arnold: birdlife in the remnant eucalypt forest: so quintessentially Australian. Technological advances can amaze us (even if it's just man using his God-given talents) but it's breathtaking that you took this at 1011 hours and here am I watching it seven hours later, nowhere near you. Great work!

@@Greensleeves94 You also deserve huge credit for continuing to film in the rain at Dunolly. Graingrowers love this sort of precipitation as it's not a flood: just steady rain that should soak into the root zone of crops if there's been previous.

Thanks Brenden, these are new ones I'm led to believe. A lot of work was done up around Ultima/Manangatang so the speeds there got raised but now it's a slow plod down here!

@@Greensleeves94 Is there a chance V/Line will do a bit of trackwork in this Dunolly - Inglewood section given there's likely to be quite a lot of grainies running from December as the silos fill with what we all hope and pray will be a bountiful harvest?
@Greensleeves944 жыл бұрын
Who knows, there's apparently a bunch of sleepers to be laid out shortly on the Rainbow branch to be put in soon after so it's certainly possible

@@Greensleeves94 The line speed at Arnold is generally 55 km/h so it is a 15 km/h reduction. Beyond Inglewood the line speed is 65 km/h so a 25 km/h reduction. This is a standard practice following any faults generated by the IEV 100 inspection.

High praise from the UK. SMILEVIDEOTRAINS (Keith) has a very amusing style and as an 82 (?) yo gent takes great videos typically on the west coast main line from London, quadruple tracked where he films. He gets out and about, sometimes travelling by train despite the COVID-19 situation over there. Anyoner in the UK would be able to watch this in UTC (Greenwich) time 'before' it was filmed at Dunolly and Arnold in Victoria, Australia. The wonders of technology!

@@SMILEVIDEOTRAINS Keith, clearly you have a worldwide audience as does Greensleeves94. When I was in India in December 2019 I wasn't amazed as I sort of 'knew' but there were heaps of railway enthusiasts, so the 'disease' is worldwide (at least anywhere there's railways, sadly not every nation).

Great persistence in the rain, thank you Brad. I do really hope they get some maintenance in before December/ January when the trains will be rolling out 24/7. Do you think they could use Dunolly to cross BG & SG trains? Could be an option if desperate and need a cheap, quick fix for this year?
@Greensleeves944 жыл бұрын
They won't be able to cross anything at Dunolly as it isn't a train order location any more. The only way something passing can happen is as seen here when one train is locked away in the grain siding. Otherwise, for BG and SG to cross it essentially means having one train wait at Maryborough or Emu/Arnold for the other to get through.
@LocoCackles4 жыл бұрын
@@Greensleeves94 Dunolly is most certainly a Train Order Location. Dunolly is defined as an Intermediate Train Order Station whether a Signaller is or is not in attendance. The change when the points were replaced by gauge splitters was that this location is no longer a defined as an Attended Crossing Station which prohibits Crossing of trains here due to the different gauges.
