Here is comparison of my SDR device with zig zag technology SDR Device 1. This Device relate to smoke density reduction device which reduce smoke through the mouth of chimney while the smoke with 50% to 60% less density emitted out on its own bouncy through an outlet(Secondary Stack) on roof of a closed water tank. Zig Zag high draft Brick Kiln Technology 1. It is a complete technology which replaced the Bull trench natural draft into high draft zig zag technology which consist of single main pipe line at the center attached with many small pipe line . The main pipe line open into blower which drive by 22 horse power engine. SDR DEVICE 2. It install on the mouth of stack/chimney and does not need to be stop the already running brick kiln during installation. It is an add on device. This can install within 12 hours. Zig Zag high draft Brick Kiln Technology 2. Its installation need completely shutdown of brick kiln and need almost complete alteration.This can take 80 to 90days( as per their Claimed) . SDR Device 3. SDR device uses 16 gallons of water to fill quarter part of tank once in 24 hours. Secondly the water does not need to pump for mixing with flue gases/or dust particles. So it mixed up when the axial exhaust fan suck the smoke emitting out of the mouth of stack through duct on its surface. Thus the stagnant water surface due to thrust of flue gas/or solid particles become splashes which result in mixing of flue gases and solid particles. Zig Zag high draft Brick Kiln Technology 3. It does not use water and other specialized treatment system for waste gases and coal dust except high blower for maximum air circulation for complete burning of coal but due to high blowing power 3 to 4 times (as they claimed) than exhaust fan give minimum time sometime to coal particles to stay in the firing zone along with larger dust particles to emit out along with smaller particles. SDR Device 4. SDR device does not affect the working of brick kiln during electricity shutdown (load Shedding) because it designed in such a way that in the failure of electricity , the normal working of brick kiln will not disturb. This system only designed for those brick kilns whose working depend on natural mechanism. Zig Zag high draft Brick Kiln Technology 4. This technology completely affects the normal working of any other brick kiln during electricity shutdown/load shedding either blower run on high power motor or same may be due to high power engine shutdown. SDR Device 5. It is compatible with Fixed stack BTK(Bull’s Trench Kiln) technology because of its installation at the mouth of stack of brick kiln without disturbing or blockage of the pathway of flue gases and stack continue its slow natural suction process or expedite it whenever this process near to stop down during night hour especially in summer. So it is not only environmental friendly for the owner but a cost effective device in the sense of fuel consumption and increase productivity.( such as increase in one or more lines of bricks’productionwith every new lines under firing. One line contain approximately 2000-3500 or more bricks depending upon the size of kilns) Zig Zag high draft Brick Kiln Technology 5. It is not compatible with fixed stack BTK technology except for already working brick kilns designed under natural draft zig zag technology. SDR Device 6. It provide further improvement such as working efficiency or filteration power without disturbing brick kiln. Zig Zag high draft Brick Kiln Technology 6. It does provide easy space for further improvement especially in treatment of waste gases and unburnt coal without shutdown whole brick kiln. SDR Device 7. It is highly cost effective and environmental friendly device. Total maximum cost including all the manufacturing+installation charges along with monitoring sensor installed is approximately maximum 0.8 million pak rupees. Zig Zag high draft Brick Kiln Technology 7. While this technology replacement of Bull’s Trench technology is not cost effective because it require 2.5 to 3.0 million just for alteration while complete newly constructed cost is 30 million (as per claimed). SDR Device 8. The device is installed at the mouth and axial exhaust fan away from the outlet of the chimney where temperature is about 50 to 60 oC along with corrosive gases. So chances of wear and tearing is less. Zig Zag high draft Brick Kiln Technology 8. The blower part which is made of iron and installed at the bottom of the chimney along with motor or engine drive where temperature goes to more than 120 oC and high concentration of corrosive gases result in crumble its parts. SDR Device 9. It make the chimney more efficient and dynamic in working than before. Zig Zag high draft Brick Kiln Technology 9. In this technology, the chimney loose its own functional capacity due to blower. SDR Device 10. It is easily implement by any brick kiln owner due to its cost effectiveness and easy to install without disturbing their business activity Zig Zag high draft Brick Kiln Technology 10. It is totally headache for brick kiln owner because they have to stop their business activity. SDR Device 11. Any Government can complete their target in time by making the brick kiln environmental friendly. Zig Zag high draft Brick Kiln Technology 11. By adopting this technology Government cannot complete their target except indulging the brick kiln owner hit and trial process which has no fruitful results for environment as well in their business. SDR Device 12. Overall my technical analysis, its market feasibility is more than 80% Zig Zag high draft Brick Kiln Technology 12. Its market feasibility is less than 50% SDR Device 13. It does not creat any noise /vibration at the ground level because installed at the mouth of chimney. Zig Zag high draft Brick Kiln Technology 13. It install at the bottom of the chimney and produce lot of noise /vibration which not create headache for worker as well as surrounding area. SDR Device 14. For this no technicallity training require for labors working in the kiln. Zig Zag high Drought Brick kiln Technology 14.As it is zig zag technology which totally depend upon special arrangement of bricks in line for firing so it need special training for local labors to run this brick kiln. SDR Device 15. No alternative technology against this device in Pakistan as well in whole Asia. Zig Zag high Drought Brick kiln Technology 15. SDR device alternative to zig zag technology , At last we reached a conclusion by installing only SDR device and arrangement of bricks in zig zag way make the already working technology brick kiln in zig zag high drought technology with minimum cost.
