some other cheaper alternatives would be linen blends (I.e. with cotton, bamboo etc.) which are often more soft and flowy than traditional linen anyway.

I refuse to wear polyester! I so wish companies were honest. I adore linen & wool.

This is so true and I noticed it also! Lots of Muslim clothing businesses do this with the following materials: linen as you mentioned, silk, satin silk, cotton, wool, cordoroy. It’s never actually these materials in reality. And rarely ever a material composition breakdown on the website at the very least.

Also, "100% cotton/viscose crinkle scarves" that turn out to be polyester :( or "silk scarves" that turn out to be polyester satin
