Lightweight is good and what did I use it for it’s a lawnmower kzbin.infoUgkxTPN04aT-Qdjr_KS3ql7ng8wnU3wwsCqk also recommend Yes it is lightweight so hence not as robust as our old one. But if you take care it does the job really well.

I bought a Greenworks 60v mower this spring to go along with my new house. It's newer than this version, but has all the same features, plus housing for 2 batteries, which is nice, but I don't need to complete my yard. I got it along with GWs trimmer and leafblower, which came with an extra battery. They all perform admirably. Never going back to gasoline powered lawn tools.

I have an older 40v version of the Greenworks lawnmower 9and snowblower) that I've had in operation for over 5 years....What I've noticed about my Greenworks tools that is different from the other 'battery' brands that I have in my toolshed is that the Greenworks batteries are the strongest and longest lasting power cells of any I've used. Of course, I baby them- never leaving them in the cold and ensuring that they are warmed up before charging - but I'm still using the same batteries 5 years later (and they get heavy usage...) Given the cost of larger batteries (often as much as the 'bare' tool) I think buyers need to consider the strength and longevity of the battery systems that underpin the tool...

The wife mows grass, etc.. I helped her buy a Kobalt 80v last year 2018, and she loves it vs. the gas/oil, yank the rope start that she use to operate.. It works just like this Green tool does.. Cuts the grass just fine. The only Green tool that I have is the pole saw, if I had seen that Kobalt had that as well, I would have got it instead, so all my tools would have been Kobalt with 80v batteries...

I have this mower and I’m not sure if mine has a defect or that the self propel takes a bit to kick in. When I pull the handle it takes a few seconds to start moving and is extremely slow. On the fastest setting I’m still just doing a regular walk and at the lowest I walk like I’m 90. Just figured electric has great torque and I’d be chasing this thing in high gear. I’ve the EGO jumps off the line and will have you at a light jog behind it on full speed.

A: Since it's important to know the "nominal voltage" of batteries, what's the nominal voltage of a 60-volt 2.5ah? a 4.0 ah? An Ego 56 volt 5.0 & 7.5 ah? I've built a list of specs based off info I've acquired via videos such as those you provide; quite intriuging. B: Since you do favor the Ego mower, how does this 60 volt Greenworks compare to the Ego 56 volt when compared to actual cutting? C: Are you going to test the 120 volt Redback? There's another very expensive 120 volt but I can't think of that brand name... Obviously, the Ego's super fast charging capability has yet to be equaled so that's a major draw to that brand. But it's heavy because of the huge batteries it uses.
@Kitearmy
@Kitearmy 5 жыл бұрын
Wow - that's a real mouthful. I have never tested a Greenworks vs an EGO. That being said - I would feel comfortably saying that my opinion is that the EGO product and line is better made and the products overall are just better designed. I think to some extent that is reflected in price. The EGO is a tad bit more expensive but I think overall EGO offers more value. Now regarding the mower some have upgraded to the high lift blade and claim the cut is even better. I have never used that blade. I plan to test it this summer.

I've got this mower and routinely (and stupidly) let my grass grow to almost a foot before I get the energy and proper conditions to mow it. The 60v Pro runs does a great job of cutting this long grass (and weeds) in my backyard (no idea the sq footage but it's a corner house with decent sized yard). It doesn't do a great job of bagging due to the weight of the cut grass, but running over the cut grass clumps again helps shred it and spread it for mulch. I'd recommend it.

1: How much power difference is there between the 60v & 80v mower? I've got a 40v Ryobi that works well but there are times I'd appreciate a little more power. 2: Since the KOBALT 80v mower is essentially the same as a GREENWORKS 80v, could the 4 or 5 amp batteries for the GREENWORKS function in the KOBALT or are they designed very differently? ?

I bought this mower a couple weeks ago and have used it twice and I can say that it lacks power of a gas mower hands down. The side discharge is almost non existent after removing the mulching attachment and putting the side discharge chute on it leaves clumps of grass instead of discharging from the side because there is not enough power (with full battery charge) to blow the grass out from the mower. Same thing when using the bag it cant throw the grass into the bag not enough power. the blade seem to run slowly and i have to go back over spots of grass several times. It will eventually get the job done however, the mower IS TERRIBLY UNDER POWERED

Nearly everything you see and buy is made in China including half the crap that illegally promotes Made In USA. You are NOT buying most of these products from Chinese companies or from CHINA as they say. You are buying from AMERICAN COMPANIES who have kept their corporate offices in the USA and relocated their factories to China (and Mexico). GM for example has built several massive auto factories in China. That would be fine if these facilities were to provide cars for China and the Pacific Rim but that's not the case. The production is to supply the West at the expense of the American middle class. It's not just GM, it's everything you buy. The corporate owned media plays along with the politicians who both hoodwink you into believing its the evil CHINA. 98% of the politicians work for Big Corpo, not you and me. It's not China's fault. If a million companies came to Joe Meow's country and said Hey Joe, we would like to build a factory, provide your people with all the jobs they can handle and give you a nice piece of the action, would you refuse? Of course not. And that's exactly what Corporate America did and they made you believe that China somehow held a gun to their heads and made them do it. GREED made them do it Joe, nothing else. Meanwhile America's middle class and poor have suffered with stagnant wages for 45 years. If the minimum wage had stayed parallel with the cost of living it would now be about $24.00 an hour, not $7.25. You can thank Ronald Reagan and Bill Clinton for these conditions. Stop voting against your own economic interest. Bernie Sanders was about to become the nominee for President but Corporate America wasn't going to stand for it. Hi They - The mower will work with any of the 60V batteries. Just grab and go to the next 60V tool. We don't have a 7.5Ah battery but for the same price as the 7.5Ah battery you can pick up two 5Ah batteries. How much run time are you seeing from the 60v 5ah battery? I've mowed with mine 3 times and I haven't been able to mow for longer than 30 minutes. Not enough time to finish my .4 acre lot which is disappointing. Greenworks thinks it's a problem with the charger and they're sending me a new one. I hope that's the case because I want to buy additional tools but I'm hesitant if the battery won't last long enough to mow my yard.
@Kitearmy
@Kitearmy 6 жыл бұрын
The best that I can tell you is that I mowed my yard about 1/2 acre and my neighbor did his yard another 1/2 acre and still had a bit of juice left. In your case, I would think battery before charger. Curious to see how it works out.
@Moosers5000
@Moosers5000 6 жыл бұрын
Corey - I have this mower and a flat but kind of bumpy 1/3 acre yard in SW Missouri. This mower will do about half of my yard on the level 3 height (there are 7 levels) before it dies. That's ONLY IF I'm mowing in the morning when it's cooler outside. AND if I don't use self-propel OR bag. When it's hotter outside, the battery dies on level 7 setting in 20 minutes. It's pitiful. I just bought a second battery for $200 after spending $500 on the mower and have left an unhappy review on the Greenworks site. My opinion is that you realistically need 3 batteries to do 1/2 acre of grass in normal hot summer conditions IF you don't self-propel or bag. Otherwise, you're looking at mowing taking you 2 days unless you have no life and can sit around all day to wait for a recharge. I don't believe this video put it through "real world" condition testing very well.
@Moosers5000

Sadly this was not very helpful for me. They sell them with the 2.0 batteries in Canada. Doing the math you give . They should last 24 minutes each and they last 15. Now you are also cutting grass that doesn't need to be cut. So I guess you would get an hour from a battery if it didn't have to work hard. THat is shorter than our grass after we cut it !! LOL We are supposed to cut the lawn to 3 inches and no shorter in order to retain the correct moisture in the soil. I don't want to return my mower but I would need 6 batteries just to do my front lawn.
