I love your humour. Worms producing millions of worms, electric fencing, happy puppies. Everyone out there is so happy.

With our prolonged winter this year - still 2-3 feet of snow on the ground - your videos are a vicarious walk across the pasture. Honestly, after watching one or two like today's episode I feel as relaxed as after I have walked my own pasture and visited my cows. A question though: How do you sort and load your cattle for market? A video on that topic would be interesting.

Lol, Greg walking across the pasture through the cattle looks like a Disney cartoon with the birds flying and chirping and the sheep, dogs and cattle grazing beautifully on the green grass. Poor Ben, I got 9.5K from my sheep net one day with both knees on the ground. My remote failed to shut the fence off and I didn't double check it. I think I saw a bright light there for a bit when it felt like a crossbow bolt went through both shoulders. I double check my fence now with my remote, lol.

Brent remote? Seriously? I’ve thought how great that would be. Never thought to see if they actually existed. Sorry for your experience, but glad you shared. 👍 Your Disney description reminds me of The Song of The South. But that movie is verboten today. 😬

@@gedwardnelson Yes sir, Stafix and another one or two companies have fencer units with a remote/fault finder. You can touch the fence anywhere with it and turn it on or off and check for faults. They are amazingly nice, especially for the electric netting in rotational grazing.
@gedwardnelson4 жыл бұрын
Brent touch it anywhere and turn it off? Now that’s worth the price of admission. I’ll be getting one. Thanks!

I recognise that road from the grazing school a few years back. We don't have wild turkey here so when I saw my first gobler flying down to strut, my double take may well have been for the yeti

Great video Greg,city boy here. What do you do about breeding those bulls with maybe their own mother or grandmother? I am also guessing your going to sell most of the bulls. And how many cows and heifers can one bull take care of? I think you could do a whole video on these questions. And again I do live in town but some day well maybe.
@karinnaturestuff4 жыл бұрын
One bull can handle between 25 to 50 females. Younger bulls can cover around 10 to 20 females.

It's beautiful when not just 2 but 3 species live in harmony together. Funny how humans have such a hard time doing that with each other when we are all one species. Grass ends racism!

I’ve had my own HUGE Explosion 💥 of clover this year. They graze it down it comes right back. Don’t know if that’s good or bad.
@charliec42364 жыл бұрын
I do not have cows. But, Greg has mentioned before on a previous video, if I remember correctly, about 60% clover is good. Too much clover is too much protein. He said if your cow has runny poop, they may have too much protein.

I assume the dogs know what the poly braid will do to them. Do you train them in the pen with the soda can like you do with the cows, or do they just figure it out themselves?

What’s the reason you keep so many bulls? Do you sell a bunch for breeding or keeping extra for your own herd or what’s the reason? On 200 cows in one bunch I would think 8 to 10 bulls would be enough. I do like your concept on grazing and been watching your videos since last fall.
@gregjudyregenerativerancher4 жыл бұрын
Over half of those bulls will be steered. The other half will be sold as breeding stock.

Greg Judy Regenerative Rancher thanks on the reply. I seen your device for training dogs from jumping fence and going onto the road. I made a couple for my dogs then had animal control show up saying I can’t use them since it’s a hazard for the dogs. I have terrible neighbors I guess. Any advice?

Hey Greg, when you put the bulls and the sheep together in one paddock, do you have a free choice mineral feeder for each, sheep and bulls? Or do they eat from one?

Greg have you ever had a problem with your dogs licking new lambs? If so what have you done about it? I have one that is licking them, then mom moves away and forgets about number one while she is having number two! I can't figure out a way to break him other than move him out or chain him. any advice?
