Learn the failures and successes of Green Pastures Farm at the Powerflex Retail Store Grand Opening in Seymour Missouri July 12th and 13th. 20% discount on all your fencing and ranch accessories. Is the tighter breeding window likely due to the increased plant/nutrient variety the cows are eating, thereby boosting their metabolic health, (all because of excellent stewardship)? When you said shorter calving window like the short lambing window, i wondered this... Congrats on the shorter window. How short of a window is the fall calving herd?

Thanks for the video! It looks yummy out there. My cows look the same too. There’s a few flies but not like it used to be. I think having all my acres in pasture is helping too. Either Sunday or Monday I’m going to try put all my livestock together again. I feel the sheep and cattle really make it a great combo on the pasture.

“… We take these animals off the planet, and we are all dead…”. Certain individuals in the US and especially, hostile foreign state antagonists want exactly this outcome. With all that I have learned from you and the contributors to the Stockman Grass Farmer, I regularly challenge these “ship of fools” on You Tube and X. If they choose to respond, it is always nonsensical or filled with virulent hatred. Good to see regular rain passing over your farms.

Your animals look superb, talking of flies we in Ireland where I grew up, our cattle were plagued with Warble Flies, do you have that problem?. Also you mentioned Ragweed, is that what we call Ragwort?. It's a yellow flowering plant that is very poisonous to cattle when cut and dried. Greetings from Nottingham England.

Hey, Greg. How many cows have you had to save from bloat last year? The year before? Last 5 years? Last 10 years? Recently had a discussions where folks said it's just a common thing with cows/cattle that the farmer would have 2-3 every year minimum.
@gregjudyregenerativerancher
@gregjudyregenerativerancher 3 ай бұрын
The last steer that bloated would have been in 2001 when we were still custom grazing other folks cattle on our leased farms. In those days we only moved the animals every two days. I think by only moving the cattle every two days, they were hungry when they were turned into the new paddock of clover and over ate. With our 2-3 moves per day, bloat has never been an issue.

Greg, you need to get a young meteorologist to study the downwind rain effects from your regenerative operation. I'd be willing to bet someone east of you gets more rain because of the rich grasslands you maintain. Call me crazy but if more people grazed like you i bet droughts would be less severe.

I know you probably don’t have time to listen to his KZbin interviews, but Robert Kennedy sued Monsanto three times over Roundup use in home vegetable gardens causing cancer- and won. He was not allowed to sue for Roundup use sprayed over large crops. He wants to get farmers to transition away from it with cover crops and regen methods, including mineral inputs from John Kempf. A lot of deliberate mis-information about him in the press, but some good interviews with him and Joe Rogan, Eric Metaxas, Rick Clark, etc.

Those who are talking about eating less or no meat for climate change reasons are at least partially correct, but the ire catches you in the problem side of the equation. What the big 4 have turned meat production into with their feed lots is objectionable, you should follow through with what the rest of the beef industry is doing. THAT is what we all should all take notice and try to end, it's bad for the producers, it's bad for the land and it's bad for the consumers. You can't defend the "conventional" practices, I hate that it's called "conventional", it should be called industrial practices.

There’s no such thing as “climate change,” so to even suggest people should stop eating meat all together or even eat less meat, to protect the Planet from overheating 1°C by 2030 is downright Absurd on so many Levels. Climate Change and “DEW” are two different things. Weather is being controlled and manipulated by Man- look at ChemTrails for an example on that. BUT what do I know… I’m just a “Conspiracy Theorist” 🤨🤷🏼‍♂️ Anyhow, I do agree with your point on the 4 big corporations that are controlling the Meat industry and sucking the smaller farms dry. I do think those who want Meat need to source their Meat and Animal Products from Farmers & Ranchers local to them or even from across The United States and have it shipped directly to their Doorstep. Grass Fed, Grass Finished Red Meat and even in some Cases, Grass Fed [Non GMO] Grain Finished Red Meat is the Healthiest Protein Source on Earth, it has so many healing benefits that it would take years to write out. In conclusion, I think those that even think eating less meat is more so about saving the climate, rather than “control,” are just fooling themselves at the end of the day. Downright fooling themselves…

Denmark starting in 2030 will impose a tax on the greenhouse gases emitted by cows, sheep, and pigs. The tax will be based on the amount of carbon dioxide and methane produced with farmers paying $17 per metric ton in 2030 and increasing to $43 in 2035.

@@gregjudyregenerativerancher What a strange world we live in now, there is no common sense anywhere. Europe imports 25% - 40% of their meat from Brazil and since meat consumption will not decrease they will need to import more since they are culling cattle. Which will mean the Brazilian ranchers will cut down more rain forest to expand acreage and then the product has to be transported to Europe this does not seem very environmentally friendly. Its always a dangerous when two activists groups such as animal rights and climate change combine.
