It doesn't matter how many times I see clips or interviews with Greg, he just blows me away every single time. I've been playing on and off for 20 years and there's no greater motivation than watching him for 5 minutes. His style is never going to be the most commercially popular, but he's surely the talent of his generation, absolutely peerless.

It amazes me that anything can actually gets done when he's around, just have to strap in and enjoy wherever he takes the ride. I haven't laughed that hard in a while. Last time Koch Marshall Trio came around with Eric Gales I ended up having to work that night and was absolutely bummed out.

Never seen him live but have watched several videos of him with his band. One standout was when he had David Grissom guesting. DG is probably my favourite guitarist of the moment but Greg was making him work to keep up. Some phenomenal playing and plenty of smiles as the two swap licks. Well worth watching if you can find it on KZbin.

It sounds strange to say because Jeff Beck, Jimmy Page, Joe Walsh are all heroes of mine and they're such big names, but since I was a teenager Greg has always been right up there as another hero. I honestly think the day I get to witness him live will leave my jaw dropped permanently from consuming the level of virtuosity that follows in his wake. Hell, he doesn't even need a guitar in his hands and I'd still be happy to tune in to a fantastical Radio Koch daily.
