No one should be going that slow in that part of the track, it's too dangerous. I'm surprised that there hasn't been that many crashes there

@hkkhnyc Murph was going full ball setting down a lap time, while Webb was just cruising.

murph is still a legend! why the covers over the car on the town truck?

Certain things cannot be repaired so keeps the officials and publics eyes off the car usually.

Wow that was bad, I wonder if they will try to devise some rules that try to make sure this doesn't happen again.

Why was dude going so fucking slow?
@MisledVision7 жыл бұрын

Their roll cages and safety systems are world class.

It's a million worth over 2 cars... V8SC are generally worth around $500K each.
@samh99146 жыл бұрын
Used to be upto $650000 per car in the late 90's. Complete custom job, cars start out life as roll cages which then get panels bolted to them. Parts were expensive but I think newer ones are now cheaper (and safer) maybe $400000
@benjaminhawkins10266 жыл бұрын
Sam H that's because racing teams are now using composite body panels on the skin of their cars which are mighty lightweight compared to steel body parts. Reducing the body weight and making the cars lighter is just half of the story.

Murphy again should never be allowed to drive in these races

Maybe none of them should ever drive again cause name me one that hasn't had a crash in their careers?
@benpasquale63538 жыл бұрын
problem is that this guy has had too many of them
@staticman12636 жыл бұрын
ben pasquale Go back thru the events and pick out how often Murphy was taken out vs the cause of the crash. He was not at fault this time nor was he at fault the majority of the other tines. Hes a fantastic driver. You dont win Bathurst 4 times if your not.
