I love how nobody respected John Gotti yet somehow he was on the streets his entire life and made it to the top of the joint largest family in New York and when he went down he kept his mouth shut like you’re supposed to but….. it’s the rats that are the ones saying he was not respected and who knows maybe he was just lucky for his entire life

The whole reason mafia didn't want to move drugs is because of this reason. People will get hooked onto the drugs amd people will snitch on one another. But scarp went down to work for the Fbi vs the Kkk. If you think the mafia had any love for the kkk in the 1960s you need help

As far as Sonny Franzese goes, take a look at the guys who came up under him early on and many of them who ended up in his crew. Some of the toughest guys in that family. To me, that says something about Franzese that guys like them wanted to be around him. FYI, it was Sal Albanese not Tony Albanese.

Cosa Nostra eventually became so big and uncontrollable that it was always destined to fail. You can't rely on hundreds and hundreds of men, over the decades, to live by the code. Once massive prison terms became a reality, men started flipping and it was the beginning of it's downfall.

While the same robe, slippers and hat walking up & down the street every week thinking u had anybody fooled? While they already had him on tapes from tapping his phone… that’s the right way and what everybody says they respect!? The only one Chin fooled, was himself… I’d rather roll with Gotti.

Gotti Was The Next Boss Right After Rico So That Old School Mindset Was Sill There Gotti Came Up Under Carmine Fatico And Niell Dellacroche They Were Part Of The Albert Anastasia Faction Of The Family They Worked Directly Under Albert And Gotti Was In A Position Where It Was Killed Or Be Killed It Was A Self Preservation Tactic But Also He Was Ready To Take The Position Obviously But It Was Clever How He Pulled It Off Dispite The Pressure He Was Under But It Was Kill Or Be Killed If He Wasent Going To Be Killed He Was Going To Be Shelved One Or The Other.. Bosses Have To Make Examples Out Of Poeple Like Gotti When They Get Caught Doing That Gotti Knew It And Him And Castellano Already Hated Each Other And Now With Niell Gone Gotti Was All Of A Sudden Vulnerable.. Look At Carlo Gambino, Tony Accardo, Santo Trafficanti, Tommy Lucciasie, Benny Squint Lombardo, Joe Bannano Probley Would Have Been Alright If He Wasent Such A Power Hungry Lunatic Some Bosses Were Successful But Been A Boss Takes A Certain Type Of Person And There Is Always Risk Especially These Days With All These Little Rats Like Larry And Co And The Tough Guy Greg Scarpa He Was Always Tough But He Also Knew He Was At An Advantage And He Knew It... In Gottis case he was either going to be shelved/killed or take over and he was the type of guy with the leadership skills and mentality to orchastrate something like that and he had to be well respected in the family to get the support he did to achieve that and obviously he was good at mafia politics, he knew the game and what to do to reach out to other families ect, look he was the type of guy if he was under threat he was going to act Scrapa was the same in his own way but it's highly questionable weather he would have taken on Carmine Persico if he was in a similar position we don't know that, Persico was very very feared by everybody in that family and it's not surprising he made his name going to war with the Gallo's and allegedly he was part of the hit team on Albert Anastasia... Poeple Talk About Greg Scarpa And He Was Obviously A Very Dangerous Man But In My Opinion Dominic Mini Scialo And Crazy Joe Gallo Were Even Worse And Sonny Franzsese Could Easily Match His Reputation And Carmine Persico Had A Bigger One Just My Opinion I Could Be Wrong I Mean What Did He Do Any Different Apart From Killing A Woman? And Doing That CIA Job In The South And What The Fuck Was He Doing Working With The CIA To Begin With? Normal Rats Don't Just End Up Working For The CIA Sounds To Me Like He Was A CIA Asset He Had To Be To Go All The Way Down There On A Mission?
