In genera,l I do not like Smallmann guitars , but for me, this guitar is clearly the best.

The Simon Marty has more sparkle, Jim Redgate mellow and even across all strings, Gregg Smallman so sweet and warm. Can’t go wrong with with either guitar. I probably pick the Marty to play concerts, Redgate would be my practice guitar, Smallman would use for studio work.

Excellent demo, thanks. I think the Smallman sounds beautiful and the round, musical sound of a Smallman has become identifiable, much like Steinway has on piano recordings.

Je n'aime pas le timbre de la Marty dont les basses me semblent nasillardes. La Jim Redgate ne me semble pas juste ou alors elle est désaccordée dans le premier comparatif. On entend bien les différences entre une table en cèdre rouge et celle en épicéa. Ma préférence va à la smallman. Avec l'âge, une bonne guitare évolue généralement comme un bon vin et la Smallman ne joue pas dans la même catégorie en comparaison de ces "jeunettes".
