This is why I like Andrews more. when Katie asked him to stay, he said "I want to be chosen". He didn't mind the other guys, he just wanted to be chosen, but Greg he's not only being chosen, but also is being reassure that he will continue to be chosen, but he just "deserve more" He is selfish in not even trying to understand Katie and the situation. he could had said "just let's go together" even, "leave the other guys and let's go now". But he was just focus on himself, thus it is Katie who deserves more. I think that they should ask the contestants to watch at least one season of the show they are going to be in, so they know what they are signing for.

Three years ago, I was dating a guy. He misunderstood a text and he took as me ending things with him. He said bye like it was nothing. Ok, I changed my opinion. Greg did seem genuine and happy when he told Katie he was in love with her and when she didn’t respond, in that moment of awkward silence, one could see that “switch” people are talking about. It was instantaneous and it couldn’t be pre-planned. But I am not saying that Greg’s reaction was justified and not immature. He was very cruel towards Katie, made her beg for him to stay and then left. I have been in a similar situation so I really felt for her. As my best friend told me when that situation happened: men have a very fragile ego and if you shatter their ego, they stop liking you.

I know!! I was so upset about this! I think Greg really got inside his own head about the situation. He introduced her to his family, and I think he got really freaked out with the thought of possibly not being chosen at the very end (even though I think Katie would have chosen him). Both screwed up. If I had to blame anyone, it would be the producers and the nature of the show. I know people have argued that “they both knew what they’re signing up for!”, but do they really though? Katie might know from a contestant’s perspective how daunting the show is. But from Greg’s, this is literally his first time in this arena. Clearly he bit off more than he can chew and was far from ready. To get into it a bit, Greg was heartbroken and crushed when Katie responded to his declaration of love with a “I just love looking at you”. He clearly isn’t ready to be in a relationship and needs to heal from his dad’s death. Because of the nature of the show, Greg ruminated over her lack of tact without the support from his family or friends, causing him to spiral. I’m pretty sure he was so hurt, he was willing to hurt Katie - which just proves how much healing he needs to do. That being said, Katie was also in the wrong. As a participant before, I think she’s aware that it’s hard to be in Greg’s shoes and can recognize the show’s toxic environment. She messed up when she told him she loved looking at him. She knew he was vulnerable and did not throw him a lifeline as she watched him spiral downwards that night. I don’t think she could’ve said anything the next day to change Greg’s mind with how much he probably self sabotaged himself. And for the record, I don’t think he’s in the wrong for saying he deserves more. He has every right to feel the way he feel in the situation - just like she has every right to withhold saying her love for someone until the very end. I’m pretty sure if the roles were reversed (like with Cassie and Colton), people wouldn’t be so harsh on Greg (probably even cheering “yes Queen - you don’t deserve to be treated like that!!”). To me, this is a clear sign of an anxious and deeply insecure man self sabotaging himself, and a girl who expected differently of him and to wait till the end (despite entertaining other men). In the end, he needs to heal, and she needs to realize words matter and sometimes, you can’t fix a situation.

Came here for confirmation! Gaslighting, narcissistic tendencies, low self-esteem, anxious, self-sabotaging. I can spot it because he's me or who I used to be. This is a discard. Making it seem like she was the reason they didn't work out.

Katie, let this boy go. He is so psychologically damaged it is not funny. He is literally a walking gas lighter. He knws how the process works! Yes, he feels what he feels but he also knows the men who are there feel their own feelings too. He wants you to dance to his tune and no - tht is NOT how a relationship works. HE deserves more!? Let his ass go find more then. This isn't the Bachelor, he is not the lead - YOU set the pace.
