soooo, he is wearing a hard hat with ZERO overhead hazards, BUT, no steel toed boots (sledge hammer hazard), no work gloves (broken glass/metal/screws sharp edges), and no safety glasses (glass and wood shrapnel). What a BRILLIANT guy he is. Unbelievable.

Instead of destroying and making a cluttered mess, just sell that TV if it was perfectly working and that’s much more worth getting money out of. If it didn’t work, I suggest carefully salvaging every electronic part in the best condition and selling it on Ebay. I am sorry, but scrapping isn’t such worth it as selling parts. You would get more money by just selling the whole TV if it worked or parts.

Ah, projector TVs. I remember almost killing myself helping a friend get one into his third floor flat. That was just before plasma displays cane out and rendered these beasts obsolete. Now you can't give them away (at least, not here in the UK) and those £2500 plasma displays are now practically worthless too (though I still much prefer them to LCD or LED ones in spite of the power consumption.)

How can you salvage parts and make the most $ when you destroy them? You would make a HORRIBLE auto salvage yard operator. You DO know working parts are worth more than broken ones right? You would destroy a $20 part to get the $3 scrap value for it broken? You know there's gold on those motherboards right? You most likely got $30 for the destroyed raw metals you were after when if you were a civil human being you could've tripled that in selling the working components using a screw driver instead of a sledgehammer. But it seems you love your sledgehammer too much lol! Disassemble, don't destroy. At the very least the clean up is easier.
