You are really fortunate to have a great group of friends at your tournaments. They make the tournament experiences so much better. I lived in Stockton when they were building New Melones but I never got a chance to fish it. I was a member of the San Joaquin Bass Rustlers back then. We had like 50 people in the club. Tournaments were super competitive. Good memories.

Melones is my primary body of water that i fish year around, I believe the rise in water may be a factor in why the fish are so small right now, my partner and i struggled to catch any size the last few times there. GL Greg

I fished that Saturday and was catching alot of fish in the 20-50 ft range. Went back last weekend and there were tons of fish shallow that I didn’t see the week earlier. I’m thinking they are just making the move up shallow to spawn.

I made one with a Rubbermaid drawer organizer with pool noodle segments ziptied through holes I drilled. The pool noodles help it slide better and stay out of water on your deck.
