After another well known KZbinr took a step back recently to make sure he could give his family well deserved dedicated time I want to thank you for how much of yourself and your time you give to us. Your editing and videos are amazing; hopefully you’re not feeling the content crush and if you are- make sure you’re taking time for yourself and your mental health. That being said, having the GB notification go off is the best part of my day! Thank you again for your hard work.

I just moved from California to East Tennessee and I'm in a slump as well. I'm out of my element and have found out the smallmouth fishing here is better than largemouth. This means I need to learn new ways of fishing plus different bait and color selections.
@adamjohnson73852 жыл бұрын
Welcome to east Tennessee brother! I moved here 14 years ago just for the fishing I fish Douglas lake the most and it's been rough this winter but still banging some out. Been using Ned rig and strike king bitsy bug jigs mostly. I hope this helps tight lines!
@aarondavis82242 жыл бұрын
@@adamjohnson7385 I'm living in Bristol so I'm fishing Boone, south Holston and Watauga. Its been so cold and snowing here that I've been trout fishing lol. I was able to nab a few smallies on the maxscent flatnose minnows on a dropshot. This spring I will be trying some finesse jigs and some neds even some small crankbaits and spinnerbaits. Its just too cold to get on a consistent bass bite. The trout fishing has been very productive though.
@adamjohnson73852 жыл бұрын
Boone was just recently refilled after having the dam repaired I've been wondering how it was. Back before they drained it it was my go to lake. South Holston has always been a hard lake but does produce some monster smallmouth. My go to winter bait for SH in the winter was always a duck fly or a brown hair jig with orange pork trailer.

Okay so I feel like the Ned jig might have something to do with it, I tried it for the first time this weekend and I caught over a limit at a lake that I've never caught more than two fish a day at. 7 keepers and 2 dinks. They would not bite anything else. I just happened to remember you trying the ned jig a week or 2 ago and I figured I'd give it a shot, I already had a keitech jig tied on so I swapped the trailer for a trd and 2nd cast I was hooked up. Thx for that lol.

I usually don't fish January in South Carolina. I'm glad I did. Almost 95% bank fishing. I caught 110 bass. I landed 2 bass with weights of 7.3 pounds! I have a bad back, so I do not fish long (70 years old). My go to baits were Owner bladed jig heads, Strike King 2-Tap Lipless (Rayburn Red) 1/2 oz., and a few on weightless white fluke. Enjoy your content and have been a long follower of yours. Everyone has those bad streaks. My good luck streak was just very sustained.

Brother Greg! Had to revisit this video to let u know that this the "GREG JIG" as I have deemed it works here in Tennessee just as well. The lake I fish is at very low levels right now and my fish have been 10-15ft deep. I went to 3/16 oz bitsy bug jig with half of a zman Ned worm on it and it's like candy to em! Tight lines brother and God bless you!
