I had a Sargent that wouldn't listen to problems you brought to him unless you made an attempt to bring a solution as well. He always said "bring me solutions not problems, even if the solution is a stretch!!" My grandparents and parents always pushed us kids to present ourselves for "the job we wanted, not necessarily the job we had". Even as a blue collar worker leather boots polished and clean clothing at the start of every day. By early 20's i was managing a glass shop and starting my own business. Realized management wasn't for me, ironically had a life changing accident outside of work. Then once i healed up I went into law enforcement as well as private contracting. A positive self image and a willingness to do whatever it takes will always take you farther than you could ever imagine, even if it isnt the path you had planned. Thank you for the great video!!!
