Mid 30s, intermediate lifter. It’s possible that I’ll gain more muscle, but it’ll be relatively minimal. I’ve found a lot of joy making flexibility gains - it’s like opening a whole new dimension to bodybuilding. If you can hit a solid double bicep in a full middle splits, you are truly impressive.
@daves.327819 сағат бұрын
Indeed! Flexibility work is difficult but rewarding. Took me 4 years to achieve the front and side splits. I'm known as Van Damme in the gym LOL
@xntrikk918917 сағат бұрын
Your gains potential in your 30s has many variables. You can still put on 10lbs of muscle in the next 4-6 years. The only difference in your 30s versus your 20s is you simply need to more meticulous and diligent. My gains are still going up and I’m 32. It takes more effort for me to get and stay lean, but getting stronger hasn’t slowed down at all for me. And I don’t have elite genetics

There is a lot of confusion about this dilemma and in reality nobody really needs it unless they are suffering from some medical condition. Sport is suppose to be fun and going on medication is not fun especially things that will defiantly shorten your life.
@gamer862219 сағат бұрын
Greg, stop this nonsense! Pin me if you're brave, but seriously! @ around 2:00, you criticize Mike for suggesting you go on gear to be a pro. You stated that you did 42 shows naturally first, and had you taken Mike's advice, you'd have hopped on sooner. But Greg, you didn't become a pro until you were like 39 or 40! You literally could not do it naturally, and you've said it 10000000s of times in other videos. You cant ask "why does bbing have special rules" for sports when you know damn well it's an absolute impossibility to be a successful pro as a natural.
@piduszzz12 сағат бұрын
He competed in natural shows when he was 20+ years old, you shouldn't be taking steroids at that time really. He only started steroids when he was 30+ years old when his body was actually fully developed, would you like it if anyone who's getting into bodybuilding no matter how young or experienced they are to start blasting steroids? Yes, he did only turn pro years after blasting steroids but does everybody turn pro overnight? I don't think so.
@gamer862212 сағат бұрын
@piduszzz he's insinuating you can do it naturally and to push your genetic limit first which is ridiculous. The most successful bbers are mid 20s early 30s. The say you should wait until then just to start trying to compete with the pros is outrageous and a massive waste of time. Its absolutely impossible to be a successful pro as a natural. If you want to be a pro bber, you need to pin, end of story.

I thought that at first too but it’s good for army too. So many people complain about having a broken body after initi training especially if they were their longer than initially planned in their contract. Many many months of burning much more than we can eat and standing so long to the point it’s detrimental to their health. Those who were already on it, were smart. Some of them are fit but aren’t on it, and they probably should get on it, if they wanna be a serious soldier athlete. But you don’t need to be a soldier athlete. But what’s the point
