"Setting foot on sand" daily for the last 2 weeks and plan to continue, only changing arpeggios. Great help, thanks!

Finally set foot on land. I can never concentrate long enough to make it through all twelve keys just me and the metronome. This is perfect, Thank-You.

I started including this in my practice sessions everyday for a couple of weeks now. It's amazing. I play the saxophone and initially I only wanted to use it for intonation and sound, but now I feel like it's one of the most benefitial tools in my practice routine. You can practice anything, long notes, leaps, every conceivable scale/arpeggios, intervals. thank you so much

I saw the shore, I set foot on land and thumbed up this track. I could mix modes as I needed. O I could work on chords. A small suggestion would be that an auditory clue when keys were changing would have been a lovely bonus (a volume swell, a rhythmic device, something).

@@GregEleftheriou arpeggios and scale, but i don't know exactly how i can approach this
@GregEleftheriou5 жыл бұрын
@@BrunoHanstenreiter If you want to practice C major scale for example, play a C major scale over drone C. Over drone G, use G major scale and so on. Each drone gives you the root note of the scale you want to practice. Now for arpeggios, the most simple thing you can do is practice C (major or minor or any other) arpeggios over drone C, G arpeggios over drone G etc. Use the drones as root notes/key notes and play any scale or arpeggios you want. That's a good start.

@@BrunoHanstenreiter Don't practice scales always the same way mecanically, change directions, play it in intervals (CEDFEG...) fragments, try things, (children tunes in 12 keys for example, or any phrase you like in 12 tones. Guitar makes easier play the same thing in 12 keys, but still useful i think) Don't go autopilot, put awareness in what you are listening and playing.I mean, letting it flow is nice, just don't play thinking in the next laundry... improvise, and have fun

Is there any third tone in the drone or is it literally just the root? Trying to see if I can run the C minor and/or C major scale over C, etc
