I get so happy and so sad at the same time every time I see this. It was the last time I saw Gregg live. I'll never regret buying that plane ticket. I wish Jack Pearson and Scott Sharrard would show up out west more often in any lineup but at least I know they're still out there carrying the torch.

Jack is about as casual as it gets....one of the best guitar players ever on stage or could have been simply playing in the basement his whole life....i dont think he would care.

That's what's up. That's how I feel music is. Cathartic to me and i find playing 2 myself. Is just as satisfying. As playing for. A. Multitude. Of people It certainly gives what it gets. And then. Some. Music is as great a refuge as u wan2 make it

Jack is the guitar player everybody should strive to be. Stands off to the side. Barely noticeable. Not making a show of it or himself. Except whenever he plays, it makes everybody go, "Who the fuck played that???"

Jack Pearson is a master guitar player at the highest level. When it comes to capturing Duane Allmans tone and phrasing - no one does it better.....period.
@stevelongobardi68707 жыл бұрын
Troy Winter , Ive been following the Allmans since the early seventies - they are my favorite band and created a unique sound. Dicky, Dan, Derek and Warren are all fine guitarist - but my comments were about who I think captures Duane's tone and phrases the closest.

No! No! No! Earlier stripped down versions are for me. I am not saying that the musicians aren’t playing well so I don’t want any shit. This song doesn’t need horns, piano & the schmaltzy jamming. Think about what this song is about people. A guy is messing with a woman that is taken. He desperate and shouldn’t be there. He fears for his life. He wants out but he doesn’t know what fate awaits him. This is not Southside Johnny’s “We’re Having a Party” - you get it?

The $4000 Fuchs amp does not hurt either. I bet he never needs to change strings, his touch is so light and precise and gets tone for days without effects. Lots of great players on that stage, but Jack is the master of all styles, and makes it seem so effortless.

Yeah dude next 2 jack was competent. And adequate and such but. Jack is a Blueshound. Straight up once hes got the scent. Its all in the wind There are others on his level but they are few. N far between And the gap grows wider Considering the. Legion multitudes of. Mediocrity and. The ocean of industry produced. Bland colorless and castrated. Deliberately less than And wholly insufferable. Chaff of the music. Meanwhile outside the recording industry music is catching fire all over the map Whether it be collegiate. Scholars And or jazz And the. Vast army of bluegrass pickers. Rising up faster and in greater number. Than any previous notion. Of. 2getherness through music Probably had a little 2 do with the baby boomers generation having taken part in the cultural revolution. And LSD's psychedelic. Evolution And now. The seeds planted in the 60's are strongly rooted. And show no sign of. Slowing down
