@@terefefeyssa877 I think a lot of people know better than him, just look at those substitutions alone, wtf was he thinking, why take out balogun at half, why put on pepi instead of Sargent when pepi has repeatedly been missing sitters. It’s like he’s decided that 1-1 is fine even though we should be going for the win even down a man. It feels like we go in underestimating our opponents and when there’s the smallest amount of pushback Greg sits us back and fights for a draw or a one goal win, it happened in the WC group stage and almost bit us then, it got us now.

Berhalter is a classic politician, good with words but never applies them to become action. "There's a lot of strong teams in this tournament...we'll give it our best" Yeah, like losing 5-1 to colombia, and now losing to Panama, how can anyone be confident next game?!? F*** this guy.

What does the red card have to do with Gregg.? 🙄 Now,we are crossing the line. 😳
@BigSuzpekt6 ай бұрын
This guy loves shifting the blame. Gregg as a coach should have a backup plan for anything that might occur during the game. Anything can happen in a game. Red card, injury, player mistakes that costs a goal and now the opponent is bunkered up. I mean there's a lot of things that could change during a game. The issue is Gregg doesn't have any plans and can't adapt to anything that can occur during the game.

I was a bit worried about Panama given their decent display against Uruguay + I don’t know much about Christiansen and he is done a fabulous job with the team. Panama set the tone early,they were unfazed and not only were they physically sound,but tactically sound + psychologically sound and technically sound at times. Our team were rattled not only physically by Panama,but after that Tim Weah uncharacteristic red card,it’s like we didn’t know how to manage the game ie. The ridiculous wasted long balls and our ball retention was suspect at times and yes we were a man down,but be smart with the ball. I am not going to put this on the referee,but I’ll say it was ridiculous he didn’t give a card to Panama when there was a reckless infraction on our keeper. I just didn’t understand how tactically Greg Berhalter didn’t tell his team to contain Carrasquilla,he was just too comfortable spreading that ball without a lot of pressure on him. I think we should have pressed high,but still be composed by staying compact as well. I am sorry I didn’t get Greg’s substitution,Cardoso was ineffective for me and actually wished he had Musah instead of him. Bologun was being a nightmare to Panama’s defensive third,I questioned that substitution too. Man how I wish Pepi headed the ball to Pulisic instead of that weak difficult header,I reckon that could have changed the game. Worse of worse I thought we were going to tie,but psychologically I thought we just didn’t have it;however,you could see the how resilient Panama was and fair play to them- they earned and deserved the win. I think our federation needs to reevaluate things if we are incapable of getting out of our group. I don’t hate Greg Berhalter,but I reckon he isn’t cutting it. I get it,Tim Weah uncharacteristically got a red card and we were playing a man down,but I also think this when you see how the coach reacts with his team. Can we beat Uruguay,there is a possibility,but less favorable to us.

How about some US players play like experienced players that are cool calm and collected instead of throwing hands at opposing players during important international tournament games? I mean, does it have to be a McDonalds or Walmart type of confrontation moment everywhere you go?
@delaine54326 ай бұрын
Wow! Have they ever won an important game against a good team under this manager? Uruguay is their chance....then can we get a new manager?
@BigSuzpekt6 ай бұрын
He's unable to beat a big club, let alone even draw against them. Only reason he's looked so good is because of the victories against probably the most mediocre mexican team in the last 3 decades. Any time Gregg has played a big team, the US has lost. Then you have friendlies against teams that are abysmal like Uzbekistan to make his stats look better than they actually are.

He is NOT wrong! The red card early in the game changed the outcome of the game BUT he also isn’t a good coach. Weah and the coach are the reason for the elimination of the team.

Its hard to want someone to lose their job, but i dont think greg is up for the job anymore. This embarrassing loss means that we most likely will not get out of the group. The only silver lining is that we can get rid of this guy
@alanng15886 ай бұрын
The problem with this squad are 2 main ones: first Berhalter is not the right guy to get the most out of the squad he has, seriously he had Jesse March who has signed for Salzburg, Bundesliga and Premier League as well as 100 better options. And secondly, the fight of egos within the locker room where his Serie A players (Pulisic, McKennie, Adams, Weah, Reyna (This guy is a basket case, someone tell Claudio Reyna his career ended 30 years ago)) want to be seen as the different ones that their individuality is the best and no, they have to remember they are a team, someone bring them down. Realistically they are good players but not world stars, they are players in Europe and that's it. For CONCACAF they are the best, but it is clear that Colombia with those 5 goals made them think with their feet on the ground.
