Painters who think like you Robbie, don't ever paint. This guy is showing us his inner thinking as he paints... showing us that being human and trying different approaches is all part of the creative process..if you can't appreciate what he's sharing, it's because you never tried doing it yourself.

Great work! I couldn't have painted in front of all those people lol, also he is painting from life not a photo. And not every single painting turns out maybe 1 out of 5 are great. Painting from life is a different animal but its true painting

Poor videography as if capturing a dance performance in the long shot. Gregg is such a wonderful artist with unique brush strokes. We miss this in this poor video.

while i understand the interest in knowing how he thinks, i'm surprised anyone ever agrees to give this kind of demo- result always looks bad, regardless of how well he might have normally done it.

I think we are related family immigrants living in Western Pennsylvania, USA. Our eyes are the smoking guns. We have many relatives with artistic talents. However, life has held them back from fame. This is a very poorly executed painting anatomically speaking. I understand this artist is an art master and teacher but his biggest mistake us the placement of his easel. It is distorting his view of the model. This is a demonstration therefore a liking is not needed but when commissioned a liking must be obvious. Artist must start by placing his subject slightly behind his easel. His 1st drawing was well off (yes I can draw way better than him, plz save yourself the BS) he is a very good artist with a lot of experience, I like his palette and process. Hint : just check the model jaw bones totally off due to setup

There are so many portrait artists doing such great work, but not this guy. This is sub par. Take a look at Jeremy Lipking or Kristy Gordon to see how it is really done. This guy is struggling with something he doesn't have any idea how to bring about. Two thumbs down.

It's a demonstration you blithering idiot. Artists don't copy the model they use it as an inspiration. I reckon you can't do what he does
