On his factory show, Greg had such an unwarranted, bitter attack on an Asian man, it left him speechless. It stank of racism and his East End white greengrocer background at that age does associate with that. I did spend a lot of years in that Essex /East London region so I amy be attuned to that attitude and was very pleased to get right away from it. Nobody picked him up on that. Maybe I should have attempted it, but the BBC need a lot of complaints before they take anything seriously. Anyway, for my money Greg is poison.

Since when was being rude, intimidating, crass, sexist, ageist, and a bully, the sign of masculinity? It’s a sign of weakness surly? Feeling the need to leverage your power as ‘the talent’ like this shows a weakness of character and fundamental lack of confidence. His role as ‘the voice of the ordinary bloke’ among all the culinary experts and award winning chefs, gives him angst over his inadequacy. It’s easy isn’t it? Simply apply the ‘do-as-you-would-be-done-by’ rule. How happy would he be if a man behaved like this to his daughter? Or his young wife? He’d be wanting to swing for them wouldn’t he?

The power relationships between men such as Trump, Putin, Musk, Epstine and women is clearly unequal, yes. However, most men are being judged upon such power inequalities when they don’t possess the same power as Trump, Putin, Tate, Musk, etc.. In fact, many men might be quite powerless. We are having our “masculines” challenged as punishment for power we do not possess or exercise over women. Most men are sick of being punished for things powerful men do to or say about women. Don’t assume all men possess the same level of power over women. Don’t assume that women don’t have power over men too.

Yeah because us men think the way Wallace behaved is fine. Ffs.

Quite a lot of us do, apparently. Or at least they claim they do because they think it will upset the right people.

it's easy to say think about it before you hit post but nobody else will. Social media moves at great speed. It won't wait for Greg or the BBC to have their say.

Bring back the shop stewards. Mind you, I don't suppose middle class women of a certain age would be up for that.

I have to say that he is being hounded beyond belief . He did bury himself with his own shovel though. Far too much attention is being directed at him when there are far more important matters domestically and internationally to discuss. Useful red herring

Do me a favour Kirsty Wark has plenty of power herself to have called this out in the moment or immediately afterwards and has waited 12 years to say something. Pathetic

Why is it always assumed that women don't speak out and submit a complaint to the revelevant people at the time? Do you really believe one woman is likely to be listened to against a money making celebrity?

These women are not victims are they? There’s been no crime committed? Feeling uncomfortable is not something that should mean you’re in trouble. This whole thing isn’t a serious story at all.

i felt uncomfortable after being beaten up by skinhead gang in the 80's

Ah, so everything that falls short of being a crime is just fine then? Do you aspire to behave like Wallace?
@andy_ppp8 сағат бұрын
@@GorgeDawes I don’t understand why you want things that aren’t criminal to be policed as if they are, he’s an embarrassing David Brent type character who I don’t much enjoy watching on TV. People have come forward now saying he sexually assaulted them, I hope he’s dealt with as severely as possible should these allegations be true as this is completely unacceptable. Making some jokes in poor taste should not mean you lose your job however!

Emily, are you only describing and representing women in the media and Television? Expand your opportunities and make a wider difference. If not, what are you talking about changing. ?

Get a life this is trivia and you are milking it for all it's worth. If he's guilty he does not deserve this shitstorm. If the offended people had spoken up at the time he probably would have modified his behaviour. You epitomise what is wrong with the media. I find your smug authority awful.

Really? Are you begrudging Clarkson his success? Nothing to do with the BBC, did it?

Lets be honest, Wallace has only issued an apology because the penny has just dropped that he is shooting his career in the foot. Personally I've always found him to be an irritating presenter, a motormouth who makes me switch channels as soon as he appears.....I won't be missing him if he doesn't come back.

MeToo needs to balance back to some level of centre as a father of two daughters they’re frustrated by guys being overly sensitive. Not a clue how they or a young fella navigates right now. Don’t get me wrong there’s complete aholes out there but societal norms should be for the majority of& not the loud minority.

He clearly behaved badly but its on the BBC to steer/amend this stuff. I wouldn't go to Sopel/Maitlis for moral advice on this subject though, the self righteousness is somewhat sickening and in a weird way I see them as just as toxic as him.
