Greg! You are an inspiration! Thank you for making all these wonderful videos. My husband, two kids, and I are about to build our first hi-tensile fence with timeless post on 12 acres in East Texas. We plan to custom graze soon. Its possible, because we read your books and learned from your channel! Thank you!

Fall stockpiling is grazing/taking 1/3, and getting it flattened? Is it important to get the grass stomped down during this period to preserve grass better for winter? Thanks for sharing your experience! I think the happy eyes may come from movement , as you said. The cows stay interested and engaged instead of bored with same ole landscape.

You never see Greg Judy herds on what looks like a golf course. Which is usually what I see on midwest animal fields.

I’ve been thinking for the last couple weeks that you probably have just about the happiest cattle anywhere. 😁 🐄

Lespedeza is probably the best legume for grazing. Non bloating and good protein.

If I kept heifers 8 months or older with bulls they would be bred, I’m not sure how you get around that?
@gregjudyregenerativerancher4 жыл бұрын
The heifers are never weaned. They also never get any special grain or forage. They eat what the cows eat, prevents them from cycling.

How do you feed in wintertime? Do you have to buy hay?
@gregjudyregenerativerancher4 жыл бұрын
Yes the hay we do feed is purchased.

1955 silver = $1 per ounce today $27 an ounce.... $60 x 27 = $1,620 per acre Gold $35 ounce today $1,960 an ounce today. $60 x 56 = $3,360. So depending upon how you look at it Uncle Soctt paid between $1,620 and $3,360 per acre.

Many people have been displaced from places like New York City, be sure to resubmit your census, so your new community can get federal money, and it doesn't all go to those emptied out metropolitans.
