Turkeys and deer season soon. Leaving the acorns for them will be a nice use of resources.🦃🦌

Thanks for the video! I was watching and reading that a round bale of hay has about $70-80 worth of nutrients for the soil. Just think how much you are putting in your soil. That’s is worth a lot because hay feeds at least 2 things feed your animals and the soil. I could name so much more. One of the best things for me feeding hay is all the seed.

What are your thoughts Greg of sheep an them acorn's? Seem like they go straight for them if they are able
@gregjudyregenerativerancher Жыл бұрын
We do not have health issues with sheep eating them.

Asked about a new lease yesterday will require some fencing by a highway. It has great web wire but only on one side. I'm thinking Timeless and high tensile for the other 3 sides. 30 acres minus 5 acres for his business. Do you recommend a certain brand of solar charger?

Cyclops or SPEEDRITE are the best

@@gregjudyregenerativerancher how many joules do I need?
@gregjudyregenerativerancher Жыл бұрын
@cpt.moroni3092 it depends on how much wire you plan to put up and the size of your farm.

@@gregjudyregenerativerancherI’m curious if I can run a few hundred acres of perimeter electric fence off one of those 12 joule cyclops battery dc fence chargers. Next time you have grazing school I should sign up. Or book a farm tour before that.

What kind of solar energizer does he have that's 20 joules?
@gregjudyregenerativerancher Жыл бұрын
Cyclops. You have to have a separate solar panel to energize it.

I lost 2 young heifers last year on acorns - try to graze it with older cattle DONT let heifers or any cattle
@gregjudyregenerativerancher Жыл бұрын
You got that right. Young livestock are at severe risk of acorn poisoning.
