Greg and Jan visit Powerflex Fence to buy all fencing materials for newly purchased farm. It was a nice trip down to Seymour Missouri to buy everything we needed to build our new hi-tensile electric fence from Powerflex Fence Company. Jesse and Lisa are great to work with when asking questions about the various products they carrry.
Spring is right around the corner and if you have any fence building projects, you can get a 10% one-time discount from Powerflex Fence products by clicking on this link to automatically receive your own one-time discount of 10%: powerflexfence...

I think one saving grace for me with Powerflex is the fact that they are partners with Shop Pay. I'm slowly building my infrastructure and growing my flock. Raising 4 kids and paying bills is tough when starting a new business. I have used the flex pay installments for big purchases like my Cyclops charger, and it lets me pay it off over a few months with little to no interest. It's a very important tool for new farmers funding their operations.

We were there last Thursday and used your 10% off code and it saved us a lot of $$$. Getting ready to fence 700 acres so your code was much appreciated. Thank you for all the great information.

A fun trip to the Candy Shop! Looking forward to watching the series of fence installation videos. Next time at Wally's pick up a package of nylon footies. Put one in your jacket pocket and when it is windy fit it over the audio receiver.

The ring top posts are great. I can carry a bunch in one hand because the metal shaft is so skinny. The Powerflex folks have been great to work with. I just wish shipping to Hawaii was not so expensive, though that’s not Powerflex’s fault.

Thanks for the video! It looks like a fun place to go. My charger is really putting the juice out. The farthest corner it was reading 9.2kv and higher. The good chargers you usually can’t have a GFIC on the outlet or breaker because it will trip it. How was the video last night you all hosted?

It was unbelievable! Had a huge crowd and Jan had a professional chef that fixed a wonderful meal from real food! Peters film was great and very inspiring. Jan and her crew did an awesome job of putting this event on.

Lots of money involved with fencing. People buy a "Hobby Farm" and don't realize the costs. Do you have an economic video of purchasing land and the costs of fencing it?
@kuliatv
@kuliatv 4 ай бұрын
That’s very dependent on where you are buying land. Fencing materials also depend on your location, as shipping can add a lot to the cost. Your land and terrain also figure into the amount of fencing material you need. If it’s level and easy to set posts with a manual driver, then your costs might be reasonable. If the land is rocky and has a lot of elevation changes (creeks, etc) then you need more fencing materials. If you got trees or brush to clear, then that’s an added cost as well. That said, you could put together a simple spreadsheet to estimate your fencing costs. Shipping to Hawaii roughly doubles my costs for materials, so I started with one high-tensile line on the long side of my pasture to feed my polybraid paddocks. Previous owner put in a decent perimeter barbed wire fence, so I saw no need to replace that. The single feeder line of high-tensile works okay for me, as it’s about 800’ across the short sides of my pasture which I can easily cover with poly. I chose to buy cows over more high-tensile for now.
