Gregor Samsa makes hauntingly beautiful music! I have always appreciated all the music they have created. "What I Can Manage" will always stand out as my most favorite track from them.

One of my favorite musical projects of all time. Abutting, Dismantling, and Jeroen van Aken are two of the most beautifully haunting aural pieces ever crafted. Thank you for this

This band is so awesome! Love all the albums. Such perfect bland of uplifting post rock atmospheres, ambiental progressions and blissful vocals every time. It always cheers me up and makes me get chills. Gregor Samsa music is such a unique and almost epiphany inducing experience every after a hundred listens. Only Threefifty manages to inflict these feels, and sometimes some ambient post rock songs. It feels like everything in your life is right and you are fully taking in the good emotions. I know this will be just as heavenly journey already. Now all that's left to do is put my headphones on and walk into the lovely mesmerizing soundscapes. if only this was a new album. they we're such an amazing band

This was released in 2009, a year after Rest. When I saw this video I almost had a heart attack thinking they were back but unfortunately not :(

What happened to these guys? I don't think they ever officially disbanded, but they haven't released anything new since forever. They were my favorite band and their 55.12 album was very important in my formative years.

After checking discogs.com, it seems that the two singers (champ and nikki) got married in 2007. After this album (2009), they don't appear in any other projects, except for Nikki that participated in a single song for a band called yeyey in 2015 (she still has the same beautiful voice). Maybe they didn't make enough money with music so they pushed it to the side to be able to raise a family. I have no idea, but it saddens me that we haven't heard from them in forever

@@doomerbloomer6160 Maybe. It is indeed sad if they have stopped making music because they had an amazing talent. Thanks for the info and research!

Nice emotional vocals, but lean and monotonous instrumental with poor uplifting. Ambient cheap. Compositions between themselves for an ordinary listener (that is, for me) is very difficult to distinguish, except as a text. The sound is banal, I haven't heard anything new within the genre, although you had a lot of instruments. The saddest thing is that the original of these compositions is from 2009, those very years when post-rock was still somehow developing

Ok chief. Go preach snobness somewhere else
