Co do bezpieczeństwa, to akurat jeszcze nie spotkano się z sytuacją, gdy kontuzja zawodnika spowodowana była zbyt odległym skokiem. Np. Herr zerwał wiązadła nie dla tego, że daleko skoczył w Willingen, a dlatego, że został uderzony nartą. Ahonen w Planicy się potłukł bo zamiast wytrzymać skok do końca to się wystraszył i spadł z bardzo wysoka.

Das waren deutlich mehr als 150 Meter. Bei der Landung sieht man, wenn man genau hinschaut, das da keine Tafeln mehr für die Weitenmessung waren. Schlierenzauer ist darüber hinaus gesprungen.

Piszę to dla tego pod tym filmikiem, gdyż chcę zwrócić uwagę na to, że z uwagi na to, że był to konkurs indywidualny to postarał się z lądowaniem. Tutaj też było już na kosmicznym wypłaszczeniu, a jednak ustał.

He was an in-form World Cup leader HERE IN VANCOUVER. In Vikersund he didn't dominate as much as earlier in the season. He didn't win a single round - neither in training, nor qualification, and he had poor starts in Kuopio and Lillehammer before that. His first round effort also wasn't the longest in the competition (Koch had 216 and LANDED SAFELY). So yes, there was no reason to fear that he would jump too long. As opposite to THIS competition. It was far more risky to let him jump here.

you can't compare a 149m jump with a jump over 200m, there is a huge difference, especially in the landing. there was no chance to finish the jump without dumping in the snow.

This jump was over 150 meters! At the landing there were no signs of distance measurement any more. Schlierenzauer jumped further. Around 152 to 155 meters?

You say so, but only after he fell. You couldn't predict that before the jump . Just like you couldn't predict that LANDING at 149 here is possible. The hill's maximum distances were predicted to be around 143-145. If a jumper like Larinto jumps 149 and falls, and you have an in-form World Cup leader jumping afterwards, you just can't ask for a more dangerous situation. Fortunately, nothing happened, but everything was possible.

They would have let him jump if he didn't complain earlier in Vikersund. Due to his behaviour the jury totally spoiled the whole fun in Planica this year. They were so paranoid about the inrun, that we've seen only a handful of jumps over 220 meters. Schlieri's longest jump over three days of competition was only 210 meters! I mean, how long could he jump if they let him? 235 meters? No way! He wasn't in top form in Planica. Only by his earlier demonstration he made everyone think that he is...

He's jumping in the yellow shirt, so he's the leader... And I don't think safety is more important at the end of the season. I think exactly the opposite. In the middle of the season, especially with World Championships just around the corner, it is more important to ensure safety, than at the end, especially when the World Cup is already decided. You think jury would have allowed the Planica 2005 competion if it was in the middle of the season? No!

dobrze, może w niektórych konkursach rzeczywiście dają za nisko belkę... ale czasem muszą jeżeli zaczyna chodzić o bezpieczeństwo zawodników. o gregorze sądzić możesz co chcesz. ale kogo obchodzi twoja opinia oparta na niewiedzy? poniżasz się pisząc akurat pod tym filmikiem takie rzeczy, bo prawdopodobnie wtedy właśnie gregor skoczył jeden ze swoich najlepszych skoków.

Interesting that he had absolutely no complaints about the inrun speed and the wind, as opposite to the competition in Vikersund. The circumstances here were not very much different from those in Vikersund. It was obvious that with such wind he would jump at least as long as Larinto, but he didn't complain about that neither before or after the jump. Because he stood up. In Vikersund he was furious, because he fell. If he had landed he would probably be as happy as here... Hypocrite...

He jumped ONLY 213.5 in the first round (Koch had 216) and fell because of his own mistake, not because the jump was too long. If he jumped 120 meters and fell you would also say that they should have shorten the inrun? Come on! And his long jump in the second round was unpredictable. I mean, I know that his fans and Schlieri himself always want to believe that he's in such a good form, that he will jump much further than others, but that's wasn't the case. It was just good (bad?) luck.

lol ich hatte jetzt schon mit ca 10 leuten die gleiche vikersund diskussion. er ist nicht einfach bei 224 gestürzt, er hat bei 224 den sprung ABGEBROCHEN, weil er wahrscheinlich 230+ gesegelt wäre und sich verletzt hätte. der abbruch hatte natürlich zur folge dass er von VIEL höher runtergekommen ist als harri olli. und vl hätte er ihn in lillehammer auch nicht stehen können, schwer zu sagen, müsste man ihn selber fragen ob es überhaupt physikalisch möglich wäre

schlieri ist ein heuler wie ein baby. wenn er einen sprung nivht stehen kann benimmt er sich wie ein baby und zeigt der jury den vogel etc., aber wenn er den sprung steht freut er sich und alles ist wunderbar. werd endlich ein mann schlieri. Miałem na myśli, że zepsuł konkurs w sensie, że jury ustawiło przez niego niski rozbieg. A ja i tak uważam, że to panienka bez jaj - przez jego cyrki, tudzież fanaberie, wprowadzili te machinacje z rozbiegiem. Jak sam się boi bić rekordów, to niech przynajmniej nie broni tego innym. Damjan Jernej nawet sam wyraził kiedyś żal do sędziów, że nie chcą ich puszczać z wysokich belek, a oni chcą bić rekordy. To samo powiedział Ahonen...

A co do niewiedzy to grubo się mylisz, śledzę PŚ w skokach od blisko 10 lat nie omijając żadnego konkursu. U bukmacherów jeszcze nigdy nie popełniłem błędu przy obstawianiu skoków. A to co zrobił ten pieprzony gregorek w Vikersund sprawiło, że finał PŚ był niewypałem zafundowanym w konsekwencji przez jury;/ Ach chciałoby się powtórki ze słynnego finału z 2005 r., gdy niemal każdy zawodnik bił rekord kraju...
