We have different conceptions of Christ and his Gospel according to the endless interpretations of the Bible. This division was the inevitable result of the Protestant Revolution. Transcending the historical boundary of churches of apostolic origin (Catholic and Orthodox), there is no possible communion with thousands of denominations immersed in relativist and sectarian ideas. It is impossible to understand the essence of Christianity outside our historical foundations. Even the dogmas recognized by the early ecumenical councils of the Church have lost their objective and solid elements in certain Protestant denominations. Sorry, we're apart more than we can see.

Instead of following the commandments of God, they make up their own god in their own image. Either way, we were warned about this. I was reading a book about an encirclement of an Albanian medieval castle from the Ottoman army. After the first battle the church of the Albanians was destroyed and the cross had also fell to the ground. The people after suffering so much rebuilt what they could and they were singing this song. To me this video would be the closest resemblance of how they sounded like. Thanks a lot for this tune and God bless✝️🙏🏻

Memorised the entire te deum in Latin (as well as Pater Noster, Domine in Adiutorium, the Credo and the Gloria) - and I repeat it out-loud, daily. A great comfort. (Also helpful for learning Latin, but that’s a different story.)
