A timeless song that resonates with every generation and will continue to resonate with every generation far into the future, until humanity fades. Why? Because it speaks to loneliness, isolation, and that deep desire to just scream out to someone. But you can't because no one is there and no one is listening.

Disturbed version is the bench mark for this song. I remember the emotions I felt when I heard his version for the very first time. David Draiman ( Disturbed frontman) is actually a trained cantor ( Jewish vocal leader who leads the congregation into prayer) has gone through some classical training. His rendition brings new meaning to this song. Even the composer Paul Simon labelled that version as the very best.
