There's not an artist out there that compares to GAI. He produces the most raw and authentic music out there and definitely is a hidden treasure.

afaudale I agree. I heard him for the first time on pandora around march 2016 and I had such a profound connection to his music that I've never experienced before or since discovering him. He's amazing.

Byron Vasquez Jr. same! Had it not been for that one episode of Californication I probably wouldn't be into GAI nevermind indie folk. totally opened up a whole new world for me I got into GAI some more classic and well known folk singers as well such as Dylan and the Dead. GAI is becoming my absolute favourite artist in any genre now =)

Same here. Discovered him on Pandora 2009. We have every album, have been to 4 of his shows, even bought tickets not knowing we wouldn’t be able to see him because of the birth of our son.

I'll listen to this song in a year's time, in a decade, and I just want to leave a note here for myself when I do: It's late May '19, and I'm happy. I've found you, the lady in the silhouette, and it's always been you. Here's to the lows and highs, and these songs sticking by my side. I shook your hand, Gregory, and saw the night light up, then a few days later I'm here with her head against mine. How I wish I could hold onto these years but I'm getting a little older, a little rougher round the sides, but dear keep me tender and yearning, and I'm sure it'll all be alright.

And so it was, for a beautiful infinite moment, yet simply never meant to be. I can't begin to express the weight of those two years following my comment. It has forever shaped my appreciation of life and love and all the moments that elude us in between. Perhaps I was dazzled by those blurry city lights or not ready for this world beyond me. But the lady in the silhouette still dances with the warmth of her kindness, and her presence reminds me of life's indescribable possibilities. So.. I wish I still wrote, and I wish I still loved, and this could very much be the end of my story.. but I think I'm still okay, and I'm all right. At least I'm so incredibly lucky to be able to say, "I knew what love was like."

i went to a Gregory Alan Isakov concert not long ago and he played new stuff but ahhhgg if i only can remember what it was called. It was soooo amazing. he said his new album is more rocky and it was about space and the moon and stuff. I completely just fell out of this world and into his music as soon as he began playing. it was the best feeling ever.

I saw Greg Alan Isakov at the Troubadour and he played really great. I think he sounded better than Mumford and Sons when I went to see them live(not trying to sound like I'm some music god or whatever people might think from me saying this). You guys should check out his tour he has going on right now, might have already passed by where you live.
