I used to work on cruise ships and ferries. One week I was in Amsterdam so took a friend as he wanted to go to a cafe. I don't take the stuff, so stayed on the beer. This track came.on, and I've been after it ever since. Where was "Shazam" when I needed it.

Thanks, I've been looking for this version for over ten years! This was the first version of this song that I heard, so the original has never sounded quite right to me. Back in 2002 I bought a 1976 Cutlass Supreme for $1 at a used car dealership, and under the seat I found a CD-R that had "Irie Music" written on it. It had this version of "Night Nurse," some Alpha Blondy song, "Asassinator" by Eek A Mouse, "What's The Use" by Israel Vibrations, "Krazy" by 2pac, some Bone Thugs weed song, and some others that I can't remember. I lost the disc in 2004 and hadn't heard this track since. Thanks for posting and thanks to the previous owner of that car for introducing me to some great songs! (*_>*)

i love this track- the original as well as the the rmx (austrian - geiler scheiß). i like the mood that song brings to one: that a night nurse doesn't have to do but taking care of those who can't sleep or whatever, sitting next to them, .... - talking bout all the "very important" random shit you have to do in nightshift (otherwise you get fired at once, because a man's life is not that important according to documentary and planning) would cause another discussion about the nursing problem in europe - without any solution. as usual.
